City Square Mall Has Gift Vouchers You Can Use At Places Like GV, Giordano & Simply Toys

Things to do at City Square Mall

From sprawling shopping centres with multi towers to quirky gallerias selling ethnic goods, Singapore has no shortage of malls. However, if you’re after one that’s easy to navigate and always buzzing with things to do for both kids and adults, look no further than City Square Mall.

From affordable clothing boutiques and myriad kids’ toy stores to a swanky cinema, this air-conditioned haven has everything you need. On top of that, there are constantly shopping deals, so you can chase discounts, snatch vouchers and beat the heat at the same time.

Here’s the lowdown on things to do at City Square Mall between March and April.

Redeem gift vouchers and snag discounts

If things like sales and freebies excite you, then you’ll be happy to know that City Square Mall will be showering you with gift vouchers and discounts when you do your shopping there.

From 11th March – 10th April, spend at least $80 on a maximum of three same-day receipts and you’ll immediately score yourself a $5 CDL Gift Voucher. Otherwise, drop a minimum of $150 and you’ll nab a $10 CDL Gift Voucher*.

Once you’ve secured yourself a coupon or two, head over to one of the shops in the list below and treat yourself to a new outfit, discounted movie tickets and anything else you’d like.

*Terms and conditions apply.

Simply Toys – Marvel and Star Wars-themed toys

If you can recite Marvel movie quotes and tell the differences between various types of Star Wars troopers, then we’ve found your happy place. Simply Toys is one of the only stores in Singapore where you can get Star Wars, Marvel and Disney figurines all in one place.

Expect to be surrounded by shelves of bobbleheads, ranging from Batman and Q posket to Squid Game players. At Simply Toys, discounted items are aplenty and start at only $10 which can be perfect as gifts. But if you’re a serious funko pop collector, add a limited edition piece like the Star Wars Rancor statue to your collection asap.

Take note that these rare finds can easily set you back hundreds of dollars. But it’s okay because you can use your CDL Gift Vouchers to offset a part of the bill.

Akemi Uchi – Minimalist beddings and home decor

Sprucing up your home doesn’t require thousands of dollars and an interior designer. Sometimes, all you need to do is shop at the right store. Think of a place that sells trendy and affordable accent pieces to complement your abode – somewhere like Akemi Uchi (AU).

Here, you’ll find crucial items to improve your sleep and your room aesthetics at the same time – like the softest bedding sets made of Tencel and in pastel hues. There’s also a whole section dedicated to bathroom accessories such as soap dishes, brush holders and towels. If you want to replace your plastic soap dispenser with a more stylish one, have a look here.

Known to be one of the most wallet-friendly home decor stores in Singapore, AU’s making it even cheaper by giving you 20% off on everything till the end of April. All you have to do is sign up for its free membership to enjoy even more perks.

Golden Village – Discounted movie tickets for students and seniors

Sure, you can watch almost any TV show and movie on Netflix. However, when blockbusters like Batman roll out, you’d want to catch it while it’s hot on the big screen at the cinemas. And that’s when Golden Village comes into play.

If you’re a student, swing by GV at City Square Mall on weekdays and flash your school ID to enjoy $7 movie tickets. Bring your grandparents and they’ll be able to get a special senior rate at $5 per ticket.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to buy tickets in person and for screenings between Monday to Friday before 6pm to enjoy the promotions.
