I’m 20-something-years-old and I have a problem with bouncy castles.
No, it’s not because they’re bad. It’s because they’re not. Heck, I wish my office had one. But as the laws of the Universe go, inflatable playgrounds seem almost exclusively reserved for kids – kids, with no worries they’d possibly need to relieve by jumping around, amirite?
But our prayers have been answered. The Beast, a.k.a. the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course is coming to Singapore…and it’s for adults only. Happening from 7th-9th December in Sentosa, here’s what the kids will be missing out on:
If The Beast rings a bell, that’s because it’s already made its mark all around the world, from London and L.A. to Tomorrowland in Belgium. The course is tailored differently at every location too, so you’ll definitely be in for a uniquely Singaporean experience when you head down.

If you’re above the magical age of 18, look forward to manoeuvring through this inflatable labyrinth that sort of resembles a Ninja Warrior course on Skittles – in the best way possible. I’m talking jumping over spiky high walls and squeezing yourself through giant rugby balls, all in the name of pure unadulterated fun.

I’m not quite sure what this is, but I want in. Stat.

There’ll also be other silly games and crew members to cheer you on as you take on The Beast, so there’s no doubting you’ll be having a stress-free end of the week while here.
If you ain’t a light packer, don’t sweat. There’ll be a cloakroom for you to dump your bags before you go frolicking amidst the inflatable field of The Beast – just don’t forget to collect it before your stipulated session ends to avoid extra fees!*
*VIP holders will be entitled to a full day of storage
An outdoor festival without food just ain’t right, and GTFO! Inflatable Playground knows where it’s at. After working up a sweat, get ready to chow down on grub like coconut soft serve from CocoLoco and mini churros from Loco Loco.

Wash it all down with a cold cuppa Saiko Butter Brew. If you’re thinking about butterbeer, you’re on the right track – this concoction is a mixture of butterscotch-flavoured soda and homemade cream to top it off.
But if you’re looking for something with a lil more buzz, Singha Beer will be there with a selection of booze to keep the party going.
No need to worry about lugging around cash here either, ‘cuz the vendors will be accepting flexible payment methods like NETS and credit cards too.
Ladies have 1 extra thing to get excited about: activewear brand Lorna Jane will be holding their Warehouse Sale at the festival grounds, with sales of up to 60% off. So remember to bring some emergency shopping moolah when you head down to conquer The Beast!
Dates: 7th-9th December 2018 (Friday-Sunday)
Time: Friday, Sunday: 11AM-6PM | Saturday: 10AM-6PM
Location: Palawan Green, Sentosa
Aside from the inflatable zone, there’ll also be games like Giant Jenga and Giant Catapult, and music to add to the festivities. Those that would like to skip the bouncing (you monster!) and go straight for the food would be glad to know that entry to the festival grounds in absolutely free!
Tickets for The Beast are now on sale, with prices starting from $37 and $47* for a 2-hour session, and $97 for a well-deserved full-day VIP pass. We hear the popular time slots are selling like hotcakes – chiong ah!
So if the crippling thought of getting older has plagued you even just a little bit, treat yourself with a trip to GTFO! Inflatable Playground, which will be bringing the fun to Sentosa from 7th-9th December.
*Depending on your chosen time slot. Ages 18 and up only.
