T-Play Indoor Playground: Peranakan-Themed Indoor Playground At HomeTeamNS Khatib

T-Play @ Khatib indoor playground

If you have kids, you’re probably familiar with the struggle of finding new ways to keep them entertained. The weekends are when it gets especially tough – with school out, it’s up to you to come up with some kids’ activities for them to get all that energy out. Enter T-Play, a new indoor playground in Singapore at HomeTeam NS Khatib.

Designed with Peranakan influences, T-Play at HomeTeamNS Khatib is an experiential learning adventure for kids both young and old.

Peranakan-themed playground

Stepping into the playground is like taking a trip back in time to 1980s Singapore – its pièce de résistance, a giant, spiraling dragon slide, is reminiscent of the iconic dragon playground in Toa Payoh that was built in 1979.

Meant to introduce kids to Peranakan culture in a playful way, T-Play incorporates Singapore’s diverse local heritage. For maximum authenticity, it was designed in collaboration with The Intan, an award-winning Peranakan museum nestled in the shophouses of Joo Chiat.

From intricate wall murals inspired by traditional Nyonya batik prints to old-school round tables and wooden chairs that look right out of Katong from yesteryear, every aspect of the space is thoughtfully designed to give kids an experience that’s not only fun, but educational as well.

Fun zones for kids of all ages

More than its educational value, the playground is full of fun zones and activities for kids of all ages.

Little ones can roll around in the ball pit, or take part in group colouring, while the more rambunctious big kids can have their fun working on their aim at the foam ball shooting arena, bouncing on the interactive trampolines, or even try out T-Play’s ninja course, spiral slide and climbing slide tower.

If you’re worried about germs, take comfort in the fact that the entire playground is thoroughly sanitised between play sessions and before closing and opening, so you can be at ease letting your kids roam around freely.

On weekends, there are even craft sessions for the little ones, with crafts specially curated with Peranakan influences.

As Singapore opens back up, gone are the days of staying in and lazing around with eyes glued to screens. Now, group play is back on the table – if you need somewhere for your little ones to get all their energy out, you might want to give T-Play a go.

Do take note of the off-peak and peak seasons that T-Play Khatib HomeTeamNS has indicated on its website. Take note that gazetted holidays, and days like National Day and Teachers’ Day are peak periods, while Tuesdays to Thursdays, excluding PH and school holidays are off-peak.

To book a session, use the HomeTeamNS mobile app so that you can get instant confirmation and secure your slot.

Aside from T-Play at Khatib, they also have a Bukit Batok outlet if the West is nearer for you.

With all the different play sets and space to run around at T-Play Khatib, I’ll bet they’ll come back beat. Heck, they’ll probably even learn a thing or two about Peranakan culture.
