Skechers Now Has A New One Piece Collection & Pop-Up Maze At Orchard For Fans

Nakamas, it’s the Great Age of the Pirates, ‘cuz the Skechers X One Piece collection has finally arrived on our shores. Themed shoes have been all the rage lately – we’re seeing Game of Thrones sneakers and Hello Kitty kicks, but here’s something extra special for all the One Piece fans out there.

From now to 7th April, join the Straw Hat Crew as they sail down to ION Orchard in Singapore. You’ll be able to get your hands on the brand new sneaker line, explore a pop-up maze and redeem some limited edition One Piece collectable items.

Here’s what to check out:

Skechers X One Piece Experiential Maze

In true Straw Hat fashion, flex your rubbery arms and unsheath your katanas because you’re going on an adventure. One Piece lovers of all ages can look forward to an interactive experience as they defeat enemies and navigate the maze from 4th to 7th April 2019.

Here are some activities to look out for:

Save Ace – search for the key to rescue Ace

Any true One Piece fan would be familiar with this scene at the Battle of Marineford.

And just for a moment, you can experience what it’s like to save Ace from the Marines. By finding the right key out of 5 and unlocking Ace’s seastone handcuffs, you’ll be rescuing him exactly like how Luffy did in the anime.

Battle Bounty – solve the puzzle to win a pair of Skechers

As you make your way through the maze, remember to hunt for 5 numbered footprints on the ground because you’ll be needing them to unlock a treasure chest outside. It may not contain a Devil Fruit, but treasure-loving Nami would insist that you try your best!

Remember to keep your mind sharp and your eyes even sharper. Complete the mini-game challenges within and stand to win a pair of sneakers from the Skechers X One Piece collection.

Commemorate your adventure

He protecc.
He attacc.
But most importantly, he ain’t coming bacc.

*wipes tears discreetly*

So grab this rare opportunity to take a commemorative picture with Ace as you come to the end of your adventure at the 5th and final zone.

Don’t worry if you want more, because there’ll be many other photo ops peppered around the maze zones.

In this brand new collection, you’ll get to pick up some kicks fit for a Pirate King all inspired by iconic One Piece Characters – Luffy, Law, Jinbe, Blackbeard and of course, Ace.

The shoes also come with chunkier outsoles, which are quite the trend these days. And in true Skechers fashion, these sneakers are super comfy thanks to a memory foam insole and are extra breathable because of its mesh and leather upper.

And aside from being stylish, it’s practical for daily use too – you can use this for walking and light exercises.

And now, my favourite part: the cute designs. You’ll be able to spot clear motifs and trademark colour palettes representative of each character – think Luffy’s iconic straw hat and Ace’s fire emblem.
