Singapore Night Festival is about culture, art, light installations, and quality bonding time for friends and fams. And if you haven’t heard, it’s back – in a big way.
From 18th-26th August, a series of events that are part of the Singapore Night Festival 2023 is set to kick off at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES. Hit it up to throw down with live jazz bands while sipping on free beer and snapping pics with the dreamy light projections.
Fans of jazz will be in heaven at Capitol Singapore, where local jazz bands are scheduled to perform over 2 consecutive weekends in August.
On 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th August, you’ll be able to sway to the tunes of different jazz styles. There’ll be Shanghai Jazz Club belting out classic melodies, Ragha Jazz guiding you through Indian music, and The Jazz Djogets performing their kampong jazz number.
Every night during the period of 18th-26th August, you’ll also witness a dazzling light show that’ll be projected onto the facade of CHIJMES Hall.
Designed by three local artists who underwent a masterclass, the projection mapping lets you visualise Singapore’s past and present as a port city, as well as the history of its entertainment scene.
