If you’re looking to make a quick weekend getaway to a nearby destination, there’s good news. Scoot has just announced plans to increase its presence in Southeast Asia with new direct flights to 4 destinations in Indonesia – including Labuan Bajo and Medan – and more frequent trips to 11 regional hotspots.

FYI, there’s way more to Indonesia than just Bali. Beach lovers can check out the stunning shores of Labuan Bajo, while city folks can explore the streets of Medan. There’s also Palembang, which is known for its street food, and Semarang, which houses the Great Mosque of Central Java and historical architecture from the Dutch colonial period.
And now, Scoot’s new routes make it even easier and cheaper to visit these underrated spots, with one-way Economy fares starting from $170 to Labuan Bajo and $108 to Medan. You can also fly to Palembang from $129 and Semarang from $125.
Tickets are already available on Scoot’s website, and flights are expected to commence progressively from December 2025.
On top of that, 11 existing destinations across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Laos will be getting more flights per week. Feel free to plan your dream trip to Bangkok, Koh Samui, or Bali, as there’ll be more affordable options coming your way.
And for those who prefer quieter getaways, keep an eye on increased flights to Manado, Yogyakarta, and Vientiane. They’re perfect for escaping the crowds while still ticking off somewhere new this holiday season.
Here’s a quick look at the destinations and the routes getting extra flights:
