Make a splash as well as a meaningful difference in others’ lives with SAFRA Swim For Hope 2019, happening 11th – 13th October across 5 SAFRA clubs – Mount Faber, Yishun, Toa Payoh, Jurong and Tampines.
First launched in 2011, the annual charity event has already raised more than $690,000 across the years. Besides raising funds for a good cause, participants also get a slew of complimentary goodies and a beautiful medal to commemorate their contribution.
With a couple of months left to go till #S4H2019, now’s the perfect time to kickstart your training to clock in even more donations. Here’s how it works:
The three swim categories available for SAFRA Swim For Hope 2019 are Open, Junior and a special Families For Life category for 1 parent + 1 child (6 to 12 years old). To participate, simply register for your desired time slot and jump in to clock as many laps as you can in 2 hours.
Prices to secure a 2-hour swim wave are as follows:
Registration fees – along with donation box collections, individual outright donations and corporate donations – will go straight into the donation pool.
In terms of proceeds generated by the swim waves, donations will be calculated based on the total number of 50-metre laps clocked in by all participants across the 5 SAFRA clubs. Swimming from one end of the pool to the other – approximately 50 metres in length., will constitute as one lap.
This year’s beneficiaries are Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS), Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Care Fund and the Down Syndrome Association.
Even if you don’t possess Joseph Schooling’s lungs of steel, you can still contribute via the donation boxes located at all SAFRA clubs. Alternatively, you can also donate through the online registration portal or by mailing a cheque to the following address:

There’ll also be an E-certificate available upon request for participants to showcase their own personal feat, insurance coverage for all participants, plus, experienced lifeguards onsite and a medic team present at each of the SAFRA clubs so you can take the plunge with peace of mind.
