Privé Keppel Bay: Seaside Cafe With Kids’ Playground & Vegan-Friendly Options To Escape The City

Privé Keppel Bay restaurant –  a cafe by the sea

Offering a coastal view of the docks, Privé Keppel Bay provides a calm respite from the city’s hustle and bustle. You can listen to the quiet waves of the sea here while sipping on a warm cup of coffee.

When it comes to food suggestions, let us guide you through the menu at Privé Keppel Bay, which includes everything from freshly baked pastries to chili crab pasta.

What to order from Privé’s Restaurant at Keppel Bay

1. Freshly Baked Croissant ($6.80)

If you’re looking to get your pastry fix, Privé’s croissants will not disappoint. They are equal parts fluffy and flakey without being overly airy in the middle.

They’re also 100% vegan, yet they manage to keep the buttery characteristic of your classic croissant intact.

2.Homestyle Pancakes ($15)

Brunch isn’t complete without getting some pancakes on the side. The Homestyle Pancakes come with fresh strawberries for a tinge of tartness to even out the sweet caramelised bananas and honeycomb. You can also top them off with either gula melaka or maple syrup for an extra dose of sweetness.

3. Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger ($24)

Another excellent vegan dish to try from Privé Keppel Bay would be their Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger. Plant-based burgers used to get a bad rap for being all mushy, but not this one.

The patty gives you a solid bite while the Swiss “cheese” sauce, caramelised onions, and field mushrooms blend together into a rich and creamy flavour. Plus, it comes with rocket leaves and vegan truffle sauce fries to make it a complete feast.

4. Singapore Chili Crab Spaghetti ($28.50)

Though nothing can beat the original, you can partially satisfy your chili crab cravings through Privé’s Singapore Chilli Crab Spaghetti. This fusion dish consists of shredded mud crab meat and a generous lather of the iconic sweet and savoury sauce. It grants a subtle nutty taste that isn’t too spicy and leans towards the sweeter side.

5. Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Roast Pork Belly ($25)

Alternatively, if you’re not too keen on pasta dishes with a lot of sauce, go for their Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Roast Pork Belly. You can select your preferred level of spiciness, ranging from none to extra

The regular version of this pasta already offers a good amount of heat with garlic and chopped chili padi. However, if you really enjoy spicy flavors, you may want to choose the “extra” level for an even stronger kick.

6. Tracy’s Favourite Salad ($20)

Salads don’t have to be a boring plate of plain lettuce. Tracy’s Favourite Salad contains an assortment of leafy greens, grains, beans, and root vegetables. It provides a wide range of flavours and comes in a hefty portion that will leave you feeling full and happy.

7. Veggie Lovers Pizza ($20.5)

The Veggie Lovers Pizza is a satisfying solution for those who are craving pizza but also want to improve their vegetable intake. It features a soy-based mozzarella-like cheese as the base and includes an abundant assortment of roasted pumpkins, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, onions, zucchinis, mushrooms, and olives as the toppings.

8. Nasi Goreng ($23)

For those who prefer Asian over Western dishes, you can never go wrong with your classic Nasi Goreng. It comes with the usual favourites, chicken satay, prawn keropok, cucumbers, and baby shrimp, all topped with a sunny-side-egg.
