It ain’t Christmas in Singapore till Orchard Road is decked out in stunning lights in the annual Christmas On A Great Street, each year’s concept more show-stopping than the one before.
This year, it won’t be just a visual spectacular to look forward to. A yuletide wonderland will be spread across *SCAPE, Shaw House and the Grange Road Car Park featuring carnival games, food booths, kiddy rides and live music performances. Taking place all the way till 26th December 2019*, here are the highlights of Christmas On A Great Street 2019.
*Street lights and decorations will be on display till 1st January 2020.
Unleash your inner child with exhilarating amusement rides, a bumper car circuit and carnival games where you can take home some fluffy memorabilia.
There are over 20 different types of rides at the Grange Road Car Park, from chill and mellow rides where you can snuggle up to a loved one to more adrenaline-inducing ones such as the Turbo ride.
Over at *SCAPE is where you’ll find family-friendly rides like the Pirate Ship, London Train and Swing. Similarly, the Shaw House Urban Plaza will feature themed kiddy rides such as a Clown Swing, Snow Car and Duplex Carousel. Strap the little ones in for a couple of rounds and watch their faces light up with delight!

Those who grew up on good old-fashioned toys rather than mobile devices will be thrilled to see the Mini TOYBOX powered by Hasbro. Operating at Grange Road Car Park from 5PM-10PM on weekdays and 12PM-10PM on Saturday and Sunday, this life-sized toy store features a MONOPOLY workshop, NERF Nation Racetrack and even a My Little Pony Makeover Salon where you can get glammed up.
If there’s one thing Singaporeans can’t get enough of, it’s events where street-style food booths are aplenty. Although Christmas food is commonly associated with a few typical dishes like turkey and log cakes, the spread at Shaw House Urban Plaza courtesy of the Nom Nom Nom pop-up is as myriad as they come.
