Night-time activities in Sentosa

From frolicking in the waters of Siloso Beach to screaming your lungs out at the theme park, a trip to Sentosa has always been synonymous with fun under the sun – but that doesn’t mean the festivities have to end once dusk hits.

So before you make a beeline for the Sentosa Express once the sun goes down, take advantage of the myriad of night-time events that’ll be happening on the island till the end of 2017 – here are 6 of them:

1. Get 1-for-1 drinks with Thirsty Thursday

For some of us, alcohol is love – and with Thirsty Thursday, there’ll be plenty of love to go around when you crack open a cold one with your buddies.

Get 1-for-1 booze on Thursdays from these bars:

● AJ Bar & Beach Dining
● Bikini Bar
● Coastes
● FOC Sentosa
● Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Rock Bar
● Hotel Michael, Michael Lounge
● Ola Beach Club
● Wave House Sentosa

If you’d like to pair your drink with some tasty nosh, head to AJ Bar & Beach Dining – located within the newly opened AJ Hackett – for 1-for-1 pasta and sandwiches. To sweeten the deal, type in the Grab promo code “Thirsty4” to enjoy $4 off when you Grab into Sentosa every Thursday*!

For a more convenient ride into Sentosa, hop onboard the free GrabShuttle service which will ferry you to Thirsty Thursday F&B outlets. Starting from 6PM, shuttle bus services will be available at the following pick-up locations:

● Vivo City
● Mapletree Business City I and II,
● Bank of America Merrill Lynch,
● HarbourFront Tower One,

2. Drink up at Singapore’s only Oktoberfest by the beach

For most of us, celebrating the annual Oktoberfest in Munich is but a pipe dream. Luckily, there’s a wave of local iterations to tide us over. Standing out in this sea of jamborees is the Oktoberfest at Siloso Beach – the only one held by a beach. The best part? It’s free*!

Look forward to having a taste of authentic Bavarian fare like bratwurst and sauerkraut, and wash it all down with some original Oktoberfest beer imported directly from Munich.

No festival is complete without some fun and games either. We hear the event has got prizes up for grabs – including a pair of ZoukOut tickets and signed Bayern Munich F.C jerseys!

For more information, click here.

*Island admission and carpark charges apply

When: 5th – 6th October 2017 (Thu & Fri): 6PM – 10PM | 7th – 8th October 2017 (Sat & Sun) 12PM – 10PM
Where: Participating bars and restaurants along Siloso Beach

3. Interact with light installations at Pop Up Night

Light up your ‘gram with these dazzling displays.

Just cause the night sky is out, doesn’t mean you have put your camera away. From 20th October, night strolls along Siloso Beach will be a lot brighter thanks to quirky UV neon art installations put up by local artists like Sam Lo – who some of us might remember as “Sticker Lady” – The Super System, sophO and Adeline Loo.

When: 20th October – 12th November 2017 | 7PM – 11PM
Where: Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island, Singapore 099010

4. Enjoy discounts on attractions and food with After 6pm Deals

5. Bring bae on a romantic stroll along Quayside Isle

If you’re looking for romantic late-night rendezvous that’s a step up from the usual beaches, bring your partner to Quayside Isle – our very own version of the Aussie’s Sydney Harbour with its yachts and waterfront view.

But don’t let the atas and exclusive facade fool you; getting here is super-easy and doesn’t need an Uber-copter or anything! For free entry into the area:

● Once in Sentosa, board the complimentary orange Sentosa Bus B at Beach Station
● Alight at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove hotel

Get SolePomodoro Trattoria Pizzeria’s Crudo E Rucola ($25) for an authentic wood-fired pizza, topped with quality Parma ham.

And whatever mood you’re in for date night, you’ll have with the slew of dining options available such as Italian cuisine at SolePomodoro Trattoria Pizzeria and New York delights at Schmear.

Once you’ve had your fill, bring your date on romantic stroll along the bay where you can enjoy each other’s company while admiring the fancy riverside view.

6. Watch the Merlion come to life at Merlion Magic Lights

If the usual bare-white Merlion is too passé for you, head over to the Merlion Magic Lights to see our national icon come alive as with a smorgasbord of vibrant light projections. Watch it morph through various “skins” – from Singaporean-based decor to a futuristic neon-blue one that looks straight outta the movie Tron!
