New At Millenia Walk: Giant Crochet Playground, Unique Crochet Gifts & Eco Bags Designed By Para Athletes

New at Millenia Walk 2025

Located in Downtown Singapore right next to Millenia Tower, Millenia Walk is a go-to for CBD warriors to grab lunch and post-work grub. What many don’t know is that it’s also quite the hidden gem for shopping and dining, allowing you to pick up luxury lab-grown jewellery or sample hearty cha chaan teng-style food all under one roof.

Taking place from now till 29th June 2025 is also a whimsical crochet-themed event where the trending art form takes on a larger-than-life format. Expect a giant crochet playground for kids to frolic in, unique crochet freebies to redeem, as well as eco bags lovingly designed by ASEAN para athletes.

Families looking to fill the June hols can also look forward to live puppet performances and circus acts on weekends, plus a month-long series of kids’ workshops hosted at Kith Cafe.

“Strings to Swing” – Giant crochet installation & crochet gifts

The art of crochet has taken social media by storm. No longer considered an “aunty” hobby, folks of all ages are crafting crochet masterpieces from keychains to apparel. At Millenia Walk’s “Strings to Swing” exhibition, you’ll get to marvel at a massive crochet installation that kids can actually climb into and explore. Do note that they’ll have to be aged 5-12 years and between 90cm-140cm in height to enter the crochet playground.

Note: The crochet playground is open to children only; our adult colleague had entered it purely for illustration purposes.

The vibrant display is a feast for the eyes, and your inner child will be delighted as you venture into the sturdy structure and enjoy a hammock-like lie-down. Do note that the crochet playground is open 12pm-8pm on Thursdays to Sundays, now till 29th June.

You can redeem 1 play session with every $120 spent at Millenia Walk, up to 3 redemptions per shopper, per session – using a combination of up to 3 same-day receipts. That means you can redeem play sessions for multiple kids at the same time!

Continuing the theme of colour and creativity is a showcase of thought-provoking artwork by ASEAN para athletes.

Besides admiring their work and taking in the meaningful narratives behind each creation, you’ll be pleased to know that you can take home a piece of their craft in the form of reusable shopping bags, redeemable from the mall. These foldable eco bags are tucked into mini crochet pouches, which you can redeem with a minimum spend of $800 at Millenia Walk.

That’s on top of the adorable heart-shaped crochet keychains you can redeem with a $500 minimum spend. Available in pink, purple, blue, and red, these handmade keychains are a surefire way to jazz up your bag or keys. With each redemption of these freebies, Millenia Walk will also donate $1 to the Singapore National Paralympic Council.

Those in the market for fine luxury jewellery should check out LeCaine Gems (#01-31) at Millenia Walk. They specialise in gemstone and lab-grown diamond jewellery with modern designs, all made using sustainable practices.
