When you think of Mid-Autumn Festival events, mooncake-making and pretty light-ups are probably the first things that come to mind. However, over at Little Paddington Preschool East Coast, the festivities are taking a livelier twist this year.
To usher in the celebrations, the preschool will be hosting a free Mid-Autumn Baby Rave on 25th September 2026 from 6pm to 8pm, swapping the usual age-old traditions for a glow-in-the-dark celebration.
While existing Little Paddington families will get to see their children’s learning come alive in a playful way, the childcare will also be opening its doors to families from the general public with children aged 3 to 6, with free admission for all. It’s also a chance for families to get a better sense of the school and its learning environment.
Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun by hitting the dance floor and participating in the activities alongside their kids.

The event will feature 5 distinct activity zones, with the Baby Rave Dance Room serving as its headline attraction. Expect to hear child-friendly nursery remixes and upbeat instrumentals, mixed live by DJ Aarika Lee, who is also a parent in the Little Paddington community.
Children can dance and have fun alongside their parents, while enjoying the energy of a live DJ set in a safe and welcoming environment

If the little ones need a break from all the dancing, they can head over to the Art & Sensory Play Zone for some hands-on fun. Here, they can get creative with glow-in-the-dark canvas painting or play around with glow slime. Each child will also get to bring home a tub of glow slime as a little keepsake.
For those who prefer to stay active, the Mid-Autumn Games & Play zone offers plenty of games to keep them entertained. Families can try their hand at Glow Tic-Tac-Toe, test their throwing skills with a throw-in-the-hole game, or run around chasing bubbles outdoors.
The festivities are not complete without a little feasting. At Panda’s Mid-Autumn House, little ones can whip up their own mooncakes, sip on fragrant tea, and tuck into pomelo as they discover the Mid-Autumn flavours. They can also craft a simple lantern to bring home.
In between activities, families can take a breather at the Moon Lounge, a cosy and quiet space where they can enjoy refreshing drinks and light fruit snacks before heading back to the fun.
