From 11th – 16th November 2019, Learning Neighbourhood @ Geylang Serai is bringing you a heap of exciting hands-on activities and games that will equip you with a bunch of new skill sets from coding and leather making to understanding financial jargon and management.

To kickstart the long week of learning, challenge yourself with some lifestyle craft workshops. One activity that’s sure to pique anyone’s interests: floral jamming. Happening during Learning Week from 11th – 15th November 2019, the floral jamming workshop by Raffles Int’l Floristry Academy will allow participants to exercise their green thumbs to create their own floral display using flowers and foliage.

But if florals aren’t your go-to aesthetic and you prefer some sleek leather instead, there will also be a leathercraft class for you to be your own artisan. Learn the art of leather making during this same week and stitch your own leather purse to bring home.

It’s not just first-hand experience of this digital fantasy that you’ll be getting but also the chance to attend professional development workshops to truly pixelate yourself.
Other workshops that’ll make you feel like a true techie includes a digital clinic to optimise your smartphone functions in a one-on-one session and a grooming class to nail your profesh look.
Search for clues and solve a series of puzzles to escape the room
On to the more lighthearted activities available on the same day, there will also be an escape room with prizes to be won and a makers’ corner where you get to put what you’ve learnt to test – designing creative prototypes with coding and robotics. In fact, there are over 50 experiential activities to try your hand at!
