5 New Things To Do At KINEX Mall This Xmas For Parents To Keep Kids & Themselves Happy

From now till 26th December 2021, you’ll be able to redeem gift sets, free parking and cashback by spending at the mall. From getting manicures and massages in the name of self-care to playing arcade games and signing up for holiday classes for the younger ones, here are some new things to do at KINEX this Christmas season.


1. Play games at Tokyo Games Station


Unleash your inner 90s kid through arcade games at Tokyo Games Station (#B1-21). With old school games such as Street Fighter and The King of Fighters, it’ll be a blast to the past for you and the fam.

The arcade also boasts a variety of activities ranging from $0.50 to $1.60 each play, like claw machines and Treasure Trove, a fishing game that’ll bring out your competitive side. 2. Get a manicure at For Duchess, by Duke


Getting a manicure might just be one of the best forms of self-care. You’ll get time away from the screen because your hands are occupied and you’ll also feel good about your new set of nails after the session. Wind down with mani-pedi at For Duchess, by Duke while waiting for your kids to finish their enrichment classes. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

If you’ve been wanting to get your nails done but never seem to have the time to, try out their one-step express gel manicure ($9.90), which will have you in and out in just about 10 minutes. Those who want a full-on manicure experience with cuticle care and dead skin removal thrown in, can opt for their classic gel manicure ($38).

The shop accepts walk-ins and appointments operates on an appointment-only basis so make sure you make a booking and secure your slot before heading down for a mani-pedi sesh


3. Intro your kids to coding at The Lab



Coding is an up and coming skill to have today, so no harm letting the kiddos start young.

The school holidays may be here but that doesn’t mean learning has to stop. Apart from enrichment classes in the usual Math and Sciences subjects, introduce your kids to coding through hands-on activities like building robots and through computing.

The Lab (#03-01) is a newly-opened coding school in KINEX that specialises in teaching coding to kids aged five to 16. From building coding robots with LEGO to grasping the Python programming language, kids can gain problem-solving and creativity skills to utilise in real-life situations.

4. Get a massage & health treatments at Guang An TCM

If you resonate with the aches and pains that come with running after the little ones, you’re in luck. Guang An TCM (#02-12) is a new Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic at KINEX that specialises in Chinese medicine and services like acupuncture, Tui Na massages and even fertility treatment. 

Opt for cupping therapy (from $25) that utilises glass cups and suction to promote blood flow and remove “toxins” from your body or go for foot reflexology (from $39) to wind down after all that festive shopping. If you’re looking for a holistic massage to target your full body, Guang An TCM also offers full body massages (from $60).


5. Send kids to KINEX holiday camp

The 3-day long KINEX Holiday Camp will be held from 8th – 10th December, featuring activities like Dance To The K-Pop Beat, Manga Art, Cajon playing classes and even Chinese craft classes. 

Kids will also have the opportunity to pick up dart skills, learn a new instrument, coding and robotics and participate in festive craft workshops to make their own tote bags and soaps.

The kids won’t be the only ones benefiting from the day camp. Sign up and receive a free single scoop of Cookies & Cream gelato from Paradiddle Gelato, a free slice of cake at Kith Café and a free drink from Little Dot Red Tea.
