Parents I hear you – it feels like the June holidays were just over. Nonetheless, it’s the September hols now, and if you’re looking for ways to jam pack the next 9 days with screen-free things for the kids to do, let the IKEA Family Fest be one of those items on the list.
This year’s IKEA Family Fest is already ongoing, and will run till 14th September 2025, with events across all 3 IKEA outlets in Singapore: IKEA Alexandra, IKEA Tampines, and IKEA Jurong.
2025 is the year of plushies, and IKEA is not letting the trend pass them by. Their take on the year’s hot item is the limited-edition meatball keychain, an ultra-cute plushie that you can hang on your bags or keys.
It sees their iconic meatballs, with that Jellycat-esque smile, in a little white bowl that says “Hej!”, or “Hello!” in Swedish, on its side. Only 300 pieces of this keychain are available in each store daily. You’ll also need to be an IKEA Family member and spend at least $50 on home furnishing products to bring this cutie home.
P.S.: It’s free to sign up for an IKEA Family membership.
If you needed an excuse to keep your kid hanging around IKEA, this is it: IKEA staff will be handing out stickers in-store, and there are 18 different soft toy stickers to collect. There are also 50 special edition stickers up for grabs, which will entitle your little bean to redeem an exclusive soft toy at the IKEA Family Booth.
ICYMI, it costs you nothing to sign up as an IKEA Family member. Get that done today till 7th September, or between 12th and 14th September, and be one of the first 100 to turn up with proof of registration, to redeem a free goodie bag per sign-up that’s worth $30.
The freebies don’t end there – there will also be free food tasting of IKEA Family members’ favourite dishes at all 3 IKEA locations, in the Swedish Restaurant on the following days:
| Location | Date | Time |
| IKEA Alexandra | 5th, 6th, 13th September 2025 | 4pm-6pm |
| IKEA Jurong | 12th, 13th, 14th September 2025 | 4pm-6pm |
| IKEA Tampines | 6th, 7th, 13th September 2025 | 4pm-6pm |

Don’t miss the various kids’ activities in-store, including Enchanted Forest colouring, keychain-making, and even a terrarium workshop. You’ll have to sign up as an IKEA Family Kids’ Club member to take part in the My Little Terrarium workshop. Get more details on these activities on the IKEA website.
It’s no IKEA festival without sales, and they’re running a 20% discount on selected products from 6th-14th September. The discounts are refreshed every 2 days, so you might find yourself needing to head down more than once this September hols.
We’ve only spotlighted some of the main events of the IKEA Family Fest – there’s lots more happening that you won’t want to miss out on. With their 3 locations in Singapore’s East, West, and Central, you hardly have an excuse not to visit.
