If you’re a music lover in Singapore, chances are you’ve been thrilled about the slew of concerts and festivals being announced in the recent weeks. Chances are, you’ve already gone to 1 or 2 – and are still reeling from Billie Eilish post-concert withdrawal while singing Happier Than Ever in the shower.
But you won’t be wishing to turn back time for long. From 22nd-23rd October, there’ll be an international line-up of DJs coming to Singapore for HypeWorld Festival – we’re talking names like DJ Snake, R3HAB, and Yellow Claw.
HypeWorld Festival will take over The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay. Yes, the exact location where indie music festival, Laneway Festival, used to take place annually. This also marks the first outdoor EDM festival since Covid-19 started, 2 months ahead of ZoukOut in December.
The electronic dance music festival will be happening over 2 days – 22nd and 23rd October – from 4pm till late. So it’s time to get your best dancing sneakers and festival outfits on. After all, it’s almost like Ultra Music Festival, which last took place in Singapore in 2019.
Here’s the most important question: “But who will be playing?”
The organisers have just released more acts to the line-up. Perhaps the most known name on the list is DJ Snake, a Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer known for mainstream radio-friendly bangers such as Turn Down for What, Taki Taki, and Let Me Love You feat Justin Bieber.

There are also American DJ Kaskade famous for his techno hits and Dutch-Moroccan DJ R3HAB, huge names in the EDM genre. Meanwhile, Singapore is represented by influencer turned author and DJ Nicole Choo.

Day 2, 23 October 2022:
ckets for music festivals don’t come cheap, especially when they involve international acts. But you’ll get to catch 6 different DJs in an evening, all at the same spot, without having to pay for your transport to the next location – talk about being efficient.
It always helps to buy tickets early, too. If you snag your tickets from now till 22nd September, it’ll cost $138 per 1-day pass and $248 for a 2-day pass. From 23rd September, the price will increase to $158 and $278 respectively. There’ll be a $4 booking fee for 1-day passes and $8 for 2-day passes.
Don’t we all miss live music and music festivals where you can party outdoors till the break of dawn? If you’re craving for some good live EDM music while you patiently wait for ZoukOut, HypeWorld Festival will do the trick. Get your tickets before they sell out and get ready for 2 whole days of music and dancing.
