8 Affordable Halal Buffet Catering Services For Cosy Home Parties & Hari Raya Gatherings

Halal buffet catering services

What’s a party without food? Yes, parties can be fun and great, but stressful if you’re the one in charge of cooking the food. Save the time that you need to use in the kitchen for catching up and celebrating with catering services. Ramadan and Hari Raya are around the corner, and we know how troublesome it can be to prepare food from scratch.

To save yourself time, effort, and trouble, we’ve compiled a list of affordable halal buffet catering services that you can consider.

What is considered halal?

Halal food doesn’t simply mean food without pork. It’s an Arabic word that literally translates “permissible”. There are other considerations as well –  including how the food is prepared, stored, and served. Some of the factors taken into consideration when certifying whether food is halal include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Animals should be subjected to fair treatment and slaughtered with as little suffering as possible.
  • Animals should be slaughtered in the name of Allah.
  • The containers used to store the food, and the equipment used to prepare it should be cleansed according to Islamic law.

In Singapore, the easiest way to identify whether the food is halal or not is to keep a look out for the MUIS Halal logo, or head over to the MUIS website to check if the eatery is on their list of halal-certified eating establishments.
