If you’re looking to supercharge your nightlife, we’ve got just the thing for you. As part of Singapore Night Festival 2024, GR.iD is having its Twilight Playground event, which sees the shopping mall light up the night with exciting events that last till midnight. In fact, GR.iD has been appointed “Official Late Night Festival Village” for this year’s Night Festival run.
Twilight Playground is running from now till 7th September 2024, featuring a “brew garden,” a treasure hunt, and F&B stalls that open until late. To seal the deal of why you should head down ASAP, there are even prizes up for grabs – ranging from mall vouchers to free escape room sessions and fitness classes.
GR.iD’s atrium has been transformed into a visually captivating space called the Brew Garden with photo ops aplenty. Patio furniture, cushy rocking chairs, and an inflatable dome transform the area into the perfect spot for having a chit-chat with friends in air-conditioned comfort. To complete the experience, you can even get free beer and coffee here.
Savour free servings of craft beer from local hawker brewery, Ren Min – best known for their stall at Maxwell Food Centre. They’ll be giving out their Jiayou pale lager fresh from the tap – characterised by a floral bitterness and a smooth and dry finish. While you’re there, give their Cantaloupe Haze pale ale ($11 for 12oz, $15 for 20oz) a go – it’s brewed with real cantaloupe for a delightful fruit flavour.
Those who don’t want to booze it up can enjoy POKKA’s First Drip Coffee series, said to be crafted with 100% coffee beans – including Arabica beans – for a more robust flavour.
They’ve launched their new Vanilla Caffe Latte flavour in addition to the existing Black Coffee No Sugar and Flat White Intense. What better place to give it a try than the Brew Garden where you can chill out and take it slow – the same way that First Drip Coffee’s meticulously slow-dripped brew is made.
Step into an inflatable dome with balloons swirling around in the air. Catch the ones with a QR code, and you’ll earn points to redeem goodies including POKKA Coffee merch.
The merch includes stylish reusable glass mugs that are perfect for your fave POKKA drinks.
Swing by and help yourself to complimentary drinks at the Brew Garden on Fridays to Sundays, from 6pm-12am. We’d advise heading down earlier than later, as the free bevvies are limited to the first 50 redemptions daily.
Craft beer and coffee aren’t the only freebies you can get. By partaking in the Digital Twilight Playground challenge, you can turn your visit to GR.iD as a way to win exciting prizes. Head to the website, create an account, and complete simple quests to rack up points.
These points can then be used to redeem goodies like mystery gift bags, vouchers including $7 off Subway and $5 off CHOPS! Grill & Sides, and free admissions to LOST SG Escape Room and MT30’s fitness classes.
One of the tasks is “A Journey Through GR.iD”, a treasure hunt where you’ll have to scavenge for specific items in the atrium space. Refer to the cartoon guides on the website for clues, and scan the QR code stickers on the hidden objects to digitally “collect” them.
You can also redeem points through other means, such as by following GR.iD Facebook and GR.iD Instagram accounts, or scanning receipts obtained by shopping and dining at the mall.
It’s a bummer to have to cut your hangout short because of last orders and closing times when the night is still young. During the run of GR.iD’s Twilight Playground event, there will be multiple eateries extending their opening hours till midnight on Fridays to Sundays so you and the squad can keep the good vibes going.

For some delectable Chinese food, you can drop by either Mom’s Hand Mini Bowl Kitchen or Xian Tai Ye Mi Xian. The former is known for its affordable and extensive range of homely dishes, while the latter is home to numerous Sichuan-style delights.

If you prefer Western cuisine, CHOPS! Grill & Sides, known for their hearty and wholesome grilled meat dishes, will do the trick. Else, the ever-reliable sandwich chain Subway also remains open till midnight.
While you’re there, spot the stylish POKKA beverage booth and treat yourself to some exclusive drinks courtesy of SLUSH. The beverage booth has a variety of regular as well as carbonated slushy drinks, with bespoke flavours curated as part of a SLUSH x POKKA Collab.
Explore fruity flavours like POKKA Sparkling White Grape or Lemon mixed with lychee and yuzu flavours. For a caffeine boost, try out slushies made with POKKA First Drip Black Coffee No Sugar and Vanilla Caffe Latte, infused with caramel or matcha flavours.
Should this lineup catch your fancy, make sure to head to GR.iD to enjoy all these activities and the possibility of snagging prizes to bring home. The mall is conveniently located within a 7-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, making it a prime hangout spot right in the heart of town.
