The Singapore Flyer has long since been a landmark that locals and tourists alike recognise from a mile away. But right now, it isn’t the only important wheel you should be looking out for while in town. Located under the Singapore Flyer is the new bike rental shop, GoCycling @ Marina Bay, where you can rent a pair of dandy bikes to explore the area, from just $4/hour.
Avid cyclists will be familiar with GoCycling – they now have 11 bike rental shops in Singapore with the opening of the Marina Bay branch.
The store is located on level 1

With this latest store located near both the CBD and East Coast Park, cyclists now have a central starting point for their next bike adventure. A loop around Marina Bay or a 8-10KM scenic ride down ECP are some of the many possibilities unlocked.

No worries, despite its “touristy” location, rates here are the same as all other GoCycling shops. Pop by this branch to rent a single bike from just $8/hour, with a free second hour (or $4/hour) on weekdays and free third hour (or $5.30/hour) on weekends.
You don’t have to return your bike at this same outlet either. If your route starts at Marina Bay and ends near another branch, you can easily return your bike there and say ta-ta – no return trips needed.

Other than the single bikes, couples can look forward to tandem bikes ($16/hour), while kids can channel their inner Super Mario on the pedal go-karts ($13/30min). Once safe distancing restrictions have lifted, the store also has four-seater bikes (from $35/hour) that can fit the entire family.
Thanks to cycling fast becoming a popular weekend activity, we’re uncovering many of Singapore’s various cycling routes. Marina Bay is one of the most scenic spots to try, and this might just be your cue to give it a shot if you haven’t already.
Come by during sunrise or sunset for paddlepop skies and cool weather, and if you’re up for a long-distance cycling expedition, there’s also a 21KM loop that takes you through the Marina Bay area as well.
P.S. There’s also going to be another new outlet opening in Ang Mo Kio in July, so look out Northies!
