When it comes to kid-friendly activities in Johor Bahru, Singaporeans are spoiled for choice. From beachfront areas like Danga Bay to shopping malls, you won’t run out of things to do.
Just as you thought JB couldn’t get any more interesting, there is also an indoor theme park at Toppen Shopping Centre. Called Game On Theme Park, this is where you can take the kids the next time you’re planning a weekend trip to JB.
The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.30 as of 15th December 2024.
The family theme park has fun for all ages, but note that there are a few that require participants to be at least 13 years and older for safety reasons. All participants must also sign a waiver form before entering the park.

If you’re bringing a change of clothes, there are lockers for rent available to store your belongings throughout the theme park.
Game On Theme Park is a multi-concept theme park with 13 attractions. There’s an arcade, KTV area, e-sports gaming portal, and obstacle courses, among others.
The Sticky Wall is where you can live out your Spiderman dreams. Don the sticky suit, bounce across the floor, and plop on the wall – the strong velcros on the suit helps you stick to the wall.
Michael Jordan wannabes can test their aim at the basketball hoop. There’s a twist of course – you’ll be dribbling on a trampoline floor.
Right opposite the hoops is where you can challenge your bestie and see who has the fastest reaction. You’ll need to quickly tap the buttons that light up, and your scores will be tallied on the screen.
Make your way across the foam pit and climb across the obstacles. If you lose your balance, don’t worry, as you’ll land in a pit of soft foam blocks. And honestly, that might just be the fun part.
There are plenty of slides to whiz down at Game On. There are shorter slides for little ones, and long, spirally slides for the older kids. For maximum speed, wear long pants to lessen the amount of friction that will slow you down.
If you’re wondering how to get up to the top of the slides, it ain’t no easy way up. Your agility will be put to test as you navigate your way through the obstacle courses, which include balancing on shaky ladders and crawling under hoops.
You might’ve seen the hilarious videos of people playing bubble soccer on TikTok. Here’s your chance to try the game out, and discover how challenging it is to score a goal while trapped in a ball.
Next to the soccer cage is where you’ll notice people flying across the room. The Flying Fox station is for the adrenaline junkies, as you hang on a beam and zoom to the other side of the park. There’ll be safety harnesses and helmets provided, so you can enjoy the ride with zero worries.
There’s also a KTV section with rooms that have punny names like Justin Barber and Taylor Sweet. Each session is limited to 30 minutes, so you can rest with your kakis after taking part in the physical activities.
Not to mention, gamers can also head to the E-Sport PS5 and Nintendo section or check out the arcade games available.
Once you’ve had all the fun taking on the obstacle courses, head to Fuel Up, the in-house cafe. Snack on some egg waffles (RM7) or go all out by ordering mains such as nasi lemak with chicken rendang and sambal (RM13) and spaghetti bolognese with chicken (RM13).
Those who need some caffeine can get an iced latte (RM7.50) or hot mocha (RM7). Soft drinks and water are also available at RM3.
Game On Theme Park is located within Toppen Shopping Centre. Via car, Tuas Checkpoint is the nearest to the mall, and will take about an hour to reach. There are plenty of parking spots at Toppen Shopping Centre with rates starting from RM2 for the first 3 hours on weekdays. Weekends start from RM3 for the first 3 hours.
You can also take bus 170X from Woodlands Checkpoint to JB Checkpoint, then hop onto bus T14 and drop at the last stop, ‘IKEA Tebrau’. From there, it’s about a brisk 5-minute walk to the mall. You’ll find Game On Theme Park on the 4th floor.
There’s always a reason to head across the Causeway the next time you have a free weekend. So once you’re done cafe-hopping and shopping, why not check out Game On Theme Park as well?
Admission:
Weekdays: RM28/adult & RM25/child | Weekends: RM38/adult & RM35/child
