October means 2 things: we’re nearing the end of the year, and it’s time to scare ourselves silly during Halloween. If you’re out of ideas on where to go for spooky season, swing by Funan and CQ @ Clarke Quay this month.
Expect a slew of activities that are both human and animal-friendly – that’s right, you can bring your puppers down for some fun too. From carnival games to whimsical photo ops, here’s what you can expect at these malls:
Swing by Funan on 21st and 22nd October 2023 with your pups as there’ll be an array of activities hosted with Hope For Animals and Pawfuration at the Roof Garden from 5pm-10pm.

Join the Moonlight Picnic where you can top-up $12.90 for pet food. This includes the Witch Brew by PAWFF, where you can choose between pork or beef as the main protein for your dog or cat. The dish also contains meatballs, sausages, pumpkin, and sweet potato.

Ever wondered what goes through your pet’s mind? Here’s your chance to speak with them for free. Paws and Crystals will be setting up a booth at Funan where you can uncover what your furry friend wishes to tell you. Once you’re done connecting with your doggo, join the DIY Spooky Push Pops workshop ($20/pax) to make pet-safe treats that your dog can enjoy.

Alternatively, you can also flex your pup’s agility and discipline at the Howl-O-Ween Temp Maze. Dogs have to complete the obstacle course while resisting the tempting treats along the way. Then, head over to Spooky Sniff & Seek where your pooch has to use its keen sense of smell. They’ll need to detect which 1 of the 5 paper bags contain the scrumptious treats.
Both games are free to join, and you’ll get to win prizes worth up to $80 that include delicious treats and products like toys and accessories for your pet.

If you and your pupper are here to chill, there are other activities that don’t involve them running around – like visiting the 15 shopping booths set up around the area. Vendors include Fuzzy Folks, BuddyAndMe, and The Pets Couture where you can snag snazzy clothes for your dog.
You can also join the Trick or Treat ($5/pax) activity. You’ll be given a carrier and a card, and the challenge is to visit the station booths to complete various challenges. Once you’re done filling up your card, head over to the Tails Inc booth to collect your Token of Completion.

Part of what makes Halloween so special is the excuse to dress up in the most outrageous outfits. Enter the Best Dressed Contest with your furkid – all you have to do is get your photo taken at the Event Booth and the staff will upload it on the event website. 3 winners will be chosen, and the prizes include delicious treats, crafty toys, and adorable accessories.
Since certain activities require a signup fee, remember to register your interest via the Howl-O-Ween Night 2023 Google Form in advance.
Moving on to the festivities at CQ @ Clarke Quay. Mark your calendars as the Halloween party will take place on 28th October 2023 at the Fountain Square, from 1pm till late.
