Hainanese chicken rice, Omakase, steak, truffle fries – you name it, and there’ll be people launching into debates over who does it better. And while our subjective taste buds do allow room for differing opinions, we must know – who DOES do it better?
Chope Diners’ Choice 2018 is back for another edition to crown the most deserving restaurants, bars and cafes around town. It’s the ultimate battle for food glory, but thankfully, there can be more than one winner. To give all eateries a fighting chance, there are a total of 10 categories from “Restaurant of the Year”, presented by DBS PayLah!, to “Bar of the Year”, presented by Robert Parker Wine Advocate for nominations to be submitted.
Each diner is allowed to nominate 3 restaurants per category. To switch things up a little, this year, Chope is offering diners exclusive partner perks* for submitting their nominations within selected categories.
For example, nominating your top 3 restaurants within the category “Restaurant of the Year” unlocks $5 credit for all new DBS PayLah! users, “Bar of the Year” gives you a complimentary bottle of wine per purchase courtesy of Robert Parker Wine Advocate, and nominations under the “Deals Savvy” category earns you $5 off with a minimum spend of $35 on Chope Deals’ dining vouchers. Check out the full list of partner perks here.
So if you want the whole world to know why you’re obsessed with a certain special chirashi don, then here’s your chance to add that restaurant to the Chope hall of fame. Nominate your top picks from now till 4th November.

Thereafter, only the 10 most nominated restaurants will move on to the voting phase (19th November – 2nd December) where they’ll be pitched against one another to see who can garner the most votes. Grand winners will be announced on the 10th of December 2018. You can find out more on the microsite or by downloading the Chope app here.
*On the condition that 3 restaurants are nominated per category. Terms & conditions apply.
