The exorbitant prices of HHN tickets are enough to make our hearts bleed, but fret not. Happening 27 to 31 October, Clarke Quay Halloween 2018 – Tales of the River is here to combat all signs of fright fest FOMO, for free!
Aside from festivities like face-painting, a costume contest and photo ops with all things spooky, Clarke Quay is introducing the ultimate activity for horror buffs with a competitive streak: a VR zombie apocalypse shoot-out challenge.
Let the tournament begin! *insert evil laughter to intimidate your opponents*
VR technology is utilised to make players feel fully immersed in an apocalyptic world of zombies. You won’t just be standing there collecting goosebumps though, the challenge is to be the last man surviving in a competitive shoot-out.
The top 10 players throughout the event will battle it out on 31 October for a slew of attractive prizes. Among the mix are a PS4 Pro, a Nintendo Switch, and a Razer headset. There’re also CapitaVouchers and Clarke Quay dining vouchers up for grabs!
For those who prefer some light-hearted fun, the event offers a non-competitive VR game called Spooky Night that’s free to play but will get your adrenaline pumping all the same.
Note: To redeem one play in the VR zombie shoot-out challenge, spend a minimum of $20 in a same-day receipt from valid Clarke Quay outlets OR 200STAR$ via the Capitastar app.

Nothing spells Halloween excitement like scaring the bejesus out of everyone who lays eyes on your petrifying get-up. There’s never been a better time to pull out all the stops, as the Halloween Freaky Party at Clarke Quay’s Fountain Square (Saturday 27 Oct, 8pm onwards) is awarding $200 in vouchers for whoever wins Best Costume.
If you don’t have time to wrangle up a full outfit, free face-painting and UV tattoos will be available on the day itself to ensure you don’t miss out on the horror-tastic fun!
Homegrown band Sweatshop Jam will also be filling the chilly air of the night with their best tunes, getting the crowd jiving along while decked out as ghosts and ghouls.
Moms and dads can pop by with their tiny tots on 27 and 28 Oct for a fun way to let the creative juices flow and bask in the Halloween vibes. From 12 to 6PM, kids can partake in monster doll-making and painting workshops, completely free of charge!
To keep the party going all night long, several of Clarke Quay’s bars and clubs are also throwing their own Halloween shindigs.
From a “Childhood Gone Wrong” event at Level Up arcade-bar to a Circus Freak Show brought to you by Attica in collaboration with Martell NCF, stay tuned to all the frightful shenanigans hosted by the best of SG’s nightlife scene here.
We know Clarke Quay as a choice spot for tourists to visit for selfies galore or couples to paktor and admire the lights glistening on the riverbank. But this Halloween event is set to turn it all upside down with urban water legends, sea monsters, mythical creatures and spooky river tales. Don’t stare too long into the water…something – or someone – might just stare back.
Even for an entry to the VR zombie shoot-out, all it’ll cost is the receipt of a scrumptious dinner at one of Clarke Quay’s many dining options to fuel up for a night of festivities.
The rest of the monstrous merry-making is completely free of charge, so make sure to swing by this Halloween weekend to have a thrilling evening you won’t forget.
