The entire Singapore’s already going into holiday mood, but it’s hard not to when venues like Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES are going full steam ahead. From now till 25 Dec 2018, you’ll be celebrating this festive season with all things Christmassy – life-sized snow globe, sprawling beer slide, snowflake light show, and plenty more.
Here’s everything you can look forward to this Christmas:
Snow globes are always a festive sight, especially when you give it a light shake to admire the cascading snowfall. But over at Capitol Singapore, we’ve now got our very own life-sized snow globe that we can step into – complete with tumbling snowflakes and all. Granted, they’re actually small foam balls blowing about but they sure look authentic, even IRL.
Shoppers will need to present a same-day receipt* to head into the snow globe.

It’s Singapore’s longest beer slide and you can try it for yourself over at the CHIJMES Lawn. You’ll be sliding beer cans down the beer slide table, and the top record holder from each day will be invited to enter the Singapore Book of Records on 22 Dec – for the Longest Beer Slide with Beer Cans. Prizes like free beer are up for grabs.
Shoppers will need to present a same-day receipt* to try the beer slide. There’s a max. of 2 chances per shopper.

Where: CHIJMES Lawn
CHIJMES Hall – thanks to the famed wedding scene in CRA – is an immediately recognisable venue. This Christmas, there’ll be a special light and music projection playing against the Hall’s facade, with snowflakes dancing across. If you look closely, there’ll be QR codes hidden within the snowflakes – take out your phone to scan these for special prizes!
When: 8PM to 11PM, 7 to 25 Dec (QR codes available every Fri to Sun, and 23 to 25 Dec)

Where better to indulge in a hearty Christmas dinner but Capitol Singapore? No doubt that there’s a ton of new food joints to try. New restaurant openings like Berthold Delikatessen and Frieda means there’s plenty to feast on while enjoying exciting live performances.
Think along the lines of a Christmas Tree Stilt Walker and a troupe of Christmas carollers – now that’s something you don’t see everyday. There’ll even be an aerial silk performance at Arcade@The Capitol Kempinski telling the story of “Rudolph’s Heroic Journey”.

It’s nearing Christmas and we’re already beyond excited. From a snow globe you can step in to Christmas tree stilt walkers, both Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES are where you want to be this holiday season. Whether you’re craving a hearty Christmas dinner or need to finish up some last-minute gift shopping – they’ve got it all.
