FIFA World Cup – it’s an event football fans wait in anticipation for every 4 years. And for most of us, it usually means renewing your cable subscription to catch the matches, or scrambling to find a sports bar that’ll let you watch it for the price of a beer.
Come this December though, you could be catching the quarter finals not from your couch but IRL. Budweiser, the official beer for the game, is giving away tickets, flights, and accommodation to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Here’s what you can expect from this giveaway that’s happening from 26th September to 31st October 2022:
Being in Singapore means that most of our football watching happens in the wee hours of the morning. Plus, it’s such a mood-killer when any shouts of “referee kayu” have to be done on low volume, so as not to wake the neighbours.
Where we’d like to be is at a live match, cheering loudly alongside hundreds of other fans whenever a goal is scored, and feeling the nail-biting tension when a game runs into overtime.
Good news for you, dear reader: This could be your reality at this year’s FIFA World Cup. Budweiser will be flying 2 beer drinkers to Qatar to catch the quarter finals live in December.
Watching the match will already be a dream come true for many, but sweetening the deal even more are perks like fully paid accommodation and a hospitality package around Qatar from 7th-11th December 2022 as part of the draw.
All you have to do is spend $20 on any Budweiser product in Singapore to qualify. And it doesn’t matter where you get your beer from – supermarkets, minimarts, and bars are included in this.
Once you’ve got your goods, send a photo of your receipt with your name on it to the Budweiser Singapore WhatsApp contact. Every $20 spent equals 2 entries to the draw, and there’s no limit to how many times you can enter. Simply put, you can keep sending in receipts until you snag that ticket for yourself.
The grand prize draw will happen on 2nd November 2022 where 2 winners will be selected and notified by phone and mail. That’s plenty of time from now till then to throw your name in the pot for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

And even if you don’t manage to win those tickets, there’s still sweet swag to get your hands on. There are limited edition goodies like Budweiser FIFA World Cup duffel bags, backpacks, and Cold-Activated Colour-Changing Aluminium cups up for grabs.
No worries if you’re stuck in SG without tickets, you can still catch the FIFA World Cup for free. Budweiser will be streaming the matches live at select bars and restaurants. You can check the link below for more info, arrange for dinner and drinks, and show up in the right jersey.
There’s no doubt that football and beer go naturally together, so whether you’re at the game live or catching it from home, crack open a cold one with Budweiser. Who knows, it might just score you an all-expenses-paid trip this December.
