The month of October sees plenty of celebrations – we have Children’s Day, Halloween, and the iconic Oktoberfest. While we may not be in Germany to toast to the latter event, Bedok Mall has brought the beerfest spirit to Singapore with its Brews & Beats 2023 event at the Atrium at B2.
Happening from now till 24th October 2023, the fair has plenty of vendors selling mouth-watering beers and accompanying nosh. There’ll also be live performances by local bands that’ll make your heart go Bedok, Bedok. Puns aside, here’s everything you can expect at Brew & Beats 2023:
Cheers! Gan Bei! Prost! It doesn’t matter what language you toast in; what’s important is the drink in your hand. Head over to the Archipelago Brewery booth and grab a cup of their famed craft beers ($12/cup).
Each 500ml cup costs $12 .
Tropical Pale Ale is a good choice if you enjoy a tinge of passionfruit and citrus, while Singapore Blonde Ale is a malty number with lime and pandan leaves. They’re also bringing the limited edition El Hefe Archipelago beer which contains hints of bubble gum and banana.
Fried goodies from Ramly Burger.
Pair your beverage with Ramly Burger’s offerings. Aside from their iconic Ramly Burger ($5), there are also Pisang Goreng (5 for $4), Chicken Skin ($5), and Wadeh ($2).
The Cheesy Chicken sliders.
Breadfirst Everyday has sliders with plain fries ($8 for 2 pieces) if you’d like a substantial meal. Choose between Thai Spicy Salad, Cheesy Chicken, or Thai Yellow Curry.
The store also has Popcorn Chicken ($6) and Shaker Fries ($12) that are great as a sharing dish.
You’ll notice the waft of seafood at the event too. The Takoyaki stand has Takoyaki ($5/6 balls) with fillings like octopus, crabstick, and prawn. Fans of fried chicken can go for the Salted Crispy Chicken ($5) or XXXL Chicken Chop ($6) for a more filling option.
The Snack Family ($9.90/bottle) has also brought their snaccs to the festival – with flavours like the Wasabi Seaweed Crackers, Sour Cream and Onion Pasta Chips, and Spicy Grilled Prawn Pasta Chips.
At the same booth, you’ll find the Ooh Mala Potato Chips that’ll make for a spicy addition to your midday afternoon snack. Each packet costs $3.50, but you can also get 5 for $10.
