5 Must Know All Day Breakfast spots

The quest for the perfect cafe

There has been an increasing number of cafes popping out all across Singapore from areas like Tanjong Pagar, Tiong Bahru, Chinatown areas and more. Visiting cafes has became increasingly common as we can see from the surge in cafe snaps popping up on all our social media platforms.

Cafes are affordable, casual, fun, the food is good, and most importantly – social media worthy, so why not?

A cafe is not a cafe if it doesn’t serve breakfast/brunch food. We Singaporeans are a funny bunch of people, we can travel across the whole island trying Big Breakfasts from different cafes, order toasts with butter and jam, fried sunny side ups or omelettes and the likes, when all of these can be prepared easily at home at 1/4 the price.

And by All Day Breakfast, I mean…

But since we are a funny bunch of people (myself included), I’ve decided to collate this list of 5 All Day Breakfast spots in Singapore. And by All Day Breakfast, i REALLY mean ALL DAY. From the time they open till the time they close.

Oh how much it frustrates me when I google ‘All Day Breakfast Singapore’ and they come up with this what brilliant list of cafes in Singapore selling all day breakfasts with all the tantalizing photos and I’m all ready to note down the addresses then, THEN I spot these holy words ‘All Day Breakfast served till 3pm’.

This cozy cafe is situated on the second floor of a shophouse in Duxton. It is pretty hidden and one may not be able to be able to find the place at first sight. The cafe, with its soft yellow lights, is well-furnished with wooden furniture, comfy sofas and cute wooden alphabets of their shop’s name at the front to welcome customers.

Their signatures are their Poached Eggs which come slathered in thick and rich hollandaise, Smoked Salmon on thick toast, as well as their lunch items which include Pies, Paninis and Stews.

Highly raved for their pancakes which come in a stack of two fluffy, face-sized cakes with fresh cream and gula melaka, they also serve the usual breakfast plates consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, buttered brioche, salad and hashbrowns and even local dishes from Mee Rebus to Chicken Laksa. Under their extensive menu includes all-day-brunch items from pasta to burgers.

It is a great place to chill with a book or hang out with friends in the comfy, well furnished interior.

Sooo, yes. Out of these 5 I have been to 4, leaving L’etoile under my to-go list. Baker & Cook still tops my list though, both for its cozy, quiet environment, friendly service and hearty grub.

Enjoy,
