I Tried A Hair Detox Treatment To Solve My Sensitive Scalp Issues Like Itching & Hair Loss

TK TrichoKare scalp treatment

Hair shedding is an inevitable part of life. Unless you’re blessed with Kim Kardashian’s forever luscious locks, a clogged shower drain and a pillow full of hair are normal parts of ageing – as long as it’s still growing back.

But if it’s not, then you might be facing hair loss. While you’re scrambling every store for supplements, it also helps to target the problem from the outside. Cue TK TrichoKare’s Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment – a four-step customised scalp therapy, designed to help treat issues like flakiness, itchiness and hair loss.

I paid them a visit to see if the treatment lives up to its reputation. Here’s how it went:

Identifying my scalp condition

I was intrigued by the idea of having a total scalp reset at TK TrichoKare, mainly because I’ve been struggling with dandruff, itchy scalp and hair loss for over a year. Scratching my head would release a flurry of flakes on my shoulders and clumps of hair on the floor. My scalp was crying for help and I couldn’t ignore the problem any longer.

I knew a scalp examination was waiting for me, so I gave my hair a thorough wash, hoping that it would look squeaky clean under the lens. Well, I was wrong. During the scalp analysis, the hair and scalp specialist used a magnifier that could zoom in up to 200 times to assess my condition. The result? Terrifying close-up images of my dehydrated scalp and thinning hair.

Most of my hair follicles were blocked by a thick layer of oil and dirt. Mind you, a healthy pore should be slightly open and house three strands of hair. As for my poor pores, they only had one thin strand that was “greying”, according to the specialist.

She also explained that although hair loss could be caused by many reasons, a suspected culprit for my terrible hair state was my hormone changes, poor diet and stress. No more weekly McDonalds from here.

Thorough 4-step scalp detox treatment

Once I was comfortably settled in the treatment room, the specialist came in and applied a cooling customised herbal masque to my scalp to soften the gunk buildup. She also gave me a head massage so blissful that I almost fell asleep.

After allowing the masque sit for 10 minutes, I was given a revitalising hair bath to deep cleanse my scalp and hair. Not only did this thorough hair wash restore my scalp’s sebum balance, it also helped to combat scalp stress – yes, it’s a thing. Apparently, overworking and staying up late can both trigger this.

Following that, the specialist sat me back in front of the mirror and fired up the OxyJet machine. She carefully dispensed a customised ampoule, focusing on areas that’ve been experiencing more thinning. This serum helps to reduce inflammation and promote hair growth, while the powerful OxyJet wand presses the juices and oxygen into the scalp for better absorption.

Finally, I got a blowout and 10 more minutes of Photodynamic Therapy – a red laser hood that helped to seal up all the nutrients and heal my scalp.

Improved scalp condition after one session

Before I was sent on my merry way, I made a quick stop at the consultation room to have a final look at my scalp – which had been through two hours of intensive care. Honestly, I was taken aback by how clean it was. Flakes and oil were gone, and most hair follicles were no longer congested. Of course, there’s still my greying problem, but that’s for another day.

As I was doing my happy dance, the specialist brought me back to reality by emphasising the importance of proper hair wash, masque and tonic. She also recommended that I should exfoliate my scalp weekly to prevent another bout of dandruff and oil buildup.

Treat scalp issues with TK Trichokare

I’m low maintenance and borderline lazy when it comes to my hair, so my routine usually stops at a wash and a quick blow-dry. However, getting an Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment at TK TrichoKare for my hair loss, itchiness and flakiness was one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Not only does my scalp feel more refreshed, I also don’t scratch uncontrollably anymore. My flakes have cleared up and oiliness is a thing of the past. If you’re facing similar issues, pay TK TrichoKare a visit. They’re running a promotion for all new customers to enjoy this luxurious treatment at only $40 Nett (U.P $745).

Get a full-sized hair bath that comes with your treatment

Plus, when you go for a pamper session, you’ll get a free full-size hair bath (250ml) so you can give your scalp a little boost at home.

I rarely recommend beauty treatments, but this will be a game-changer for anyone with a troubled scalp like me.
