Singaporeans get free meal at Thai wedding

When we think of Thailand, what comes to mind – besides beautiful temples – are often our street food stalls.

With the prevalence of hawkers on our streets, sometimes, it may be difficult for tourists to distinguish between street food stalls and a feast by locals to celebrate occasions.

That’s why this particular story of a trio of Singaporean tourists who were treated to a free meal in Thailand, after they mistook a wedding party for a hawker stall, was hilarious and heartwarming in equal measure.

Received a free meal and warm welcome from locals

They received a warm welcome from locals at the party who insisted on treating them to a free meal. That’s also probably when they belatedly realised that they were enjoying their lunch at a wedding reception, and not a street food stall as they had thought.

We really appreciate the locals’ kindness
