Velayen Cafe ice cream buffet in Bangkok
Ice cream might not be the healthiest food on the planet, but we love it anyway. Go all out and treat yourself at Velayen Cafe in Bangkok, which has a cheap ice cream buffet for only ฿49 (~USD1.60).
1-hour ice cream buffet
Velayen Cafe has over 20 flavours that are constantly on rotation at their store. Everything is also freshly homemade everyday, giving customers top quality desserts to feast on.
The flavours we got to try included Cookies & Cream, Butter cake, Coffee Caramel, Strawberry, Coconut Milk, and Orange. Other interesting flavours you can look out for are Banana, Butterfly Pea Lemon, Pineapple, and more.
Their 1-hour buffet costs ฿49/person with free-flow peanuts and fresh milk as toppings. You can also add ฿10 each for extra toppings like boba, corn, red beans, chocolate sauce, and marshmallow, and ฿12 each for whipped cream and cherries.
We liked that the milk-based ice creams were not overly creamy or sugary, which didn’t make us feel as guilty for our huge ice cream feast. The Cookies & Cream flavour came with oreo chunks, while Butter Cake came with real pieces of fluffy cake.
While the creamy strawberry tasted a little artificial, we’d recommend going with Orange. This was really refreshing and made us feel like we were eating an icy fruit pop.
If you’d rather lower the sweetness of your ice cream, you can douse your bowl with some fresh milk. The free peanuts added a nice crunchy texture to the dish as well.

You can also check out their board games shelf and play fun games like Bingo and Jenga, so head down with your buddies for a chill day out. Plus, the staff here are known to be really warm and friendly too.
