Thanwaa Cafe in Bangkok

For those who are homebodies, it may sound tiring to get out of your house sometimes, especially if your room is way too cosy to leave. All you wanna do is to stay home and play with your cat until the day ends.

What if we told you that you could – technically – opt for a change of scenery to another place for a while, but still have your new location feel like home.

Thanwaa Cafe is an eatery in Lat Phrao that resembles an actual home where you can put your feet up on a smol bed with playful cats. Here’s all you’ll need to know about this quaint lil’ cafe in Bangkok.

Thanawaa Cafe is a concept cafe located in Ladprao 94 that aims to give their customers a warm and friendly welcome – as if they’re welcoming guests into their own home.

While pulling out a chair to take a seat, you might spot a floofy cat or two lying on the floor as they wonder what these hoomans are doing at their house.

Besides meals and coffee, this cafe also offers a selection of knick-knacks or small trinkets to browse through before you go.

Funnily enough, the clothing racks and shelves all play into the decor that makes it seem like you’re rifling through the owner’s belongings in the house.

Around the corner, there’s an old wooden desk decorated with some books and a frame, and we love the old retro film camera detail which really plays into the nostalgic, cosy theme.

On the other side, a smol bed with a white soft pillow sounds like a good place to rest your head and lie down for the entire day.

After touring this home for a while, you may be rather thirsty. So let’s take a look at what drinks are on the menu.

Drinks inspired by movies like 500 Days Of Summer

If you are a fan of ‘Moonrise Kingdom‘, this drink named Sam & Suzy at ฿150 (~USD4) is a must-try drink, as it’s inspired by the movie and represents the male & female protagonists.

Alternatively, you can choose this Sparkling Orange Lemonade for ฿85 (~USD2) inspired by ‘500 Days Of Summer‘ to cool off with a cat on a hot day.

We think it’s actually possible for guests to enjoy hanging at the cafe so much that you’ll forget that it’s high time to leave for the movie you’ve bought a ticket for two days ago.

Going out of your house may be energy-draining so if you’re already otw to work, and need a drink to get through the day, or simply a comfy nook to hole up in while working on a stressful assignment, try dropping by this cafe.

I bet you’ll feel like you’re staying at your own home – plus points for the adorable kitties.
