Former-national carrier to take off


After filing for bankruptcy back in May, THAI Airways during its rehabilitation state is trying to boost income in various ways, including opening a cafe, selling patonggo, and creating experience packages

According to The Nation Thailand, the former-national airline will take off again this month for special flights, consisting of 5 international routes from Bangkok: Hong Kong, Tai Pei, London, Copenhagen and Stockholm. 

These special flights will cater to folks who need to travel overseas from Thailand while all regular flights between 18th of March to 31st of October 2020 have been cancelled due to the pandemic.


All special flight schedules


Here are THAI Airways’ special flight details for this month:

  • Bangkok-London (TG916)  

Date: 4, 11, 18 October 2020 – take off at 12.50pm (Thai time) and arrive at 7.10pm (local time) 

Date: 25 October 2020 – take off at 1.20pm (Thai time) and arrive at 7.35pm (local time) 

  • Bangkok-Copenhagen (TG950) 

Date: 4, 11, 18 October 2020 – take off at 6.50am (Thai time) and arrive at 1.05pm (local time) 

Date: 25 October 2020 – take off at 6.50pm (Thai time) and arrive at 12.35am (local time) 

  • Bangkok-Stockholm (TG960) 

Date: 14 October 2020 – take off at  7.05am (Thai time) and arrive at 1.10pm (local time) 

  • Bangkok-Hong Kong (TG638) 

Date: 21 October 2020 – take off at 1.55pm (Thai time) and arrive at 5.40pm (local time) 

Date: 28 October 2020 – take off at 2pm (Thai time) and arrive at 5.45pm (local time) 

  • Bangkok-Taipei (TG632) 

Date: 8, 16, 23 October 2020 – take off at 8.25am (Thai time) and arrive at 1.05pm (local time) 

Date: 30 October 2020 – take off at 8.15am (Thai time) and arrive at 12.45am (local time)
