A cold Christmas in Thailand


It’s the last month of 2020 and with many hoping to travel around Thailand, you can add Doi Inthanon National Park to your winter holiday list. This morning at around, 6AM there were reports of cold wind that made temperatures drop to 0 degrees celsius!

It can be strange to talk about cold weather in Thailand unless you’re up north, and Chiang Mai locals have started hoody-ing up.

This morning, a Thai Netizen in Chiang Mai took some photos of frost that had chilled over on a car. 

The city was also full of excitement with Thai tourists enjoying the chilly weather this morning, and these photos of the frost on a car went viral.

Hold on to your scarves; the reports from the Meteorological Department, weren’t kidding about the cold winds as they reported the 7-day weather Forecast, which sees northeastern winds reaching up to 10-12 km/hr….BRRR!


Keep calm and chill in Northern Thailand

Although it’s X’mas season amid a pandemic,  it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy winter in a tropical country like Thailand without travelling. 

Besides, we might not be able to go on grand winter trips to Europe just yet, but it’s also nice to see more of our own backyard for a change.
