The city lockdown and preventive measures seem to have worked out well as we haven’t had any local transmissions of COVID-19 in over 24 days.

All new cases were imported and are now under control

On 18th June 2020, The Nation Thailand reported that no domestic cases in Thailand were found for COVID-19 over the past 24 days.

However, assistant spokeswoman of the government’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), Dr Panprapa Yongtrakul reported that there have been 6 new COVID-19 cases found on 18th June 2020.

The new cases include 5 male students who were found asymptomatic, from Saudi Arabia and 1 female student with fever, from India. They will all return home as soon as they are fully recovered.

The total number of cases in Thailand stands at 3,141.

We’re glad to see the number of local cases being at zero for almost a month now. However, we still need to strictly follow all preventive measures as the COVID-19 is still around. Stay tuned for updates.
