In an interview with Dailynews, they shared that they both are now very old and don’t know when they “would have to leave”. The couple wanted to do something good and decided to donate their savings, knowing that these hospitals were in need of COVID-19 testing devices and ventilators.

Mrs. Wongpaiboonsri also added that she felt really grateful for the medical workers who had once cared for her husband. Mr. Wongpaiboonsri had a bad fall which broke his legs, and all doctors and nurses took care of him so well and helped them with their medical processes and costs.

Their noodle shop Kuay Tiew Ped Ta Khem is located on Sukhumvit Road in Chonburi, and has been running for over 50 years.

They serve duck noodles – which is a favourite dish among locals living around the area. They’ve got big fans who come over for their food every day.

After asking what was hidden behind this delicious dish, both said there was no secret recipe here – they just use fresh and quality ingredients and put their heart into each dish.

We wish that they continue to have good health and happiness, and hope to pop by to try their noodles once the virus goes away.
