Bangkok is a hub for many wild nights, but a few drinks could make you forget what you did the night before.
Cabbages & Condoms is a restaurant in Asok that wants to remind people to always have protection to avoid morning-after surprises.

The “condom king” and founder, Mr. Mechai Viravaidya, used to be a politician who promoted the use of contraceptives to decrease unplanned pregnancy and stop STD spread. Today, he continues to spread awareness through condom-related business ventures, and this restaurant was one of them.

Cabbages & Condoms is decorated with various decor made from actual condoms like ceiling lamps and mannequins clad in condom dresses and outfits according to occasions.

The food here is rustic, but they guarantee it will not cause pregnancy. Some of the dishes include Chaw Muang (Steamed minced chicken and onion wrapped in dough, ฿150), Khao Obb Supparot (Baked rice with ham, sweet sausage, pineapple, served in a pineapple, ฿200), and Mieng Khum (฿150), a Thai appetizer with ingredients like dried shrimp and roasted coconut wrapped in betel leaves.

There is also a gift shop to buy souvenirs made from condoms as well.
Mr. Viravaidya also has a condom museum in Nonthaburi and a resort called Birds & Bees Resort in Pattaya with the restaurant’s second branch.
