Olive Young Launches On Shopee M’sia With Deals On K-Beauty Products

Olive Young is now on Shopee Malaysia

Malaysians have been caught up in the Korean wave for some time now, as is evinced by the plethora of Korean restaurants we have on our shores, and the demand for Korean perms when we head to a salon. So it’s no surprise that Olive Young, a popular health and beauty store in Korea, decided to launch an official store on Shopee Malaysia.

With this new opening, we can now look forward to being even more spoilt for choice when it comes to K-beauty products, and fans of K-drama series True Beauty will also be glad to know that you can now get your hands on makeup products that its leading character uses in the show.

Olive Young is a popular South Korean health and beauty store. In its country of origin, it has over 1,200 outlets – which means that anyone who’s visited South Korea would have seen one of its branches in malls, along shopping streets, especially in Seoul’s bustling shopping hubs such as Myeongdong and Gangnam.

And they carry everything too, from popular K-beauty brands such as Clio and Laneige to Olive Young’s in-house brands, that have made them a household name in Korea for beauty hauls.

While they do have an online global store for buyers outside of Korea, the international shipping fees that apply when you shop from the site is pretty pricey unless you cart over USD60 in one purchase, which entitles you to free international shipping. Olive Young’s new official Shopee MY store, however, has shipping fees as low as RM5 and deals to mark its launch. You can also likely expect a shorter waiting time for parcel deliveries, since packages ordered from its global store generally take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

According to Pulse News Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia are the first Southeast Asian countries to have official Olive Young Shopee shops. Other countries such as Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand, as well as Taiwan, will be getting their dedicated online Shopee stores soon too, as the brand plans its expansion across Asia.

Olive Young plans to have over 300 products in their Shopee stores in Asia. But for now, a scroll through their Shopee page for Malaysia shows 50 products from their in-house brands, including Colorgram, Wakemake, Bring Green, Round A’Round, Fillimilli, and Olive Young’s Care Plus. Some products to look forward to include Bring Green’s cica products to tackle skin issues, Fillimilli’s foundation brush (RM64), and Round A’Round’s Dryflower Body & Hair Mist (RM48).

K-beauty makeup products, are of course, on sale – including eyeshadow palettes and lip tints from Wakemake and Colorgram. If the brand Colorgram rings a bell, it might be because you’ve spotted it in the now-airing K-drama series, True Beauty. This coming-of-age drama about overcoming high school trials often features Colorgram’s products, as the female lead attempts to put the days of being bullied behind her by exploring the use of makeup.

As one of the show’s sponsors is Olive Young, you can find the same products that the lead uses at their Shopee store. Olive Young launches official Shopee store with opening deals

Many of us have already been shopping for K-beauty products at our local health and beauty stores. But we’re more than excited about the opening of Olive Young’s official online store on Shopee because we can now get our hands on Korean beauty brands that have not been previously available in Malaysia.
