When you\u2019re in a relationship, it\u2019s nice to know that your significant other loves you enough to be afraid of losing you. Therefore, a little jealousy can add a healthy flavor to the romance. However, too much can cause it to go up in smoke.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Such was the case for 37-year-old <\/span>Kh\u1ed5ng Minh To\u00e0n<\/b>, a resident of Ho Chi Minh City. Suspecting that his wife had an affair with her boss, the green-eyed husband<\/span> set her employer\u2019s car on fire<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how the story unfolded.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>C\u00f4ng An<\/span><\/a>, To\u00e0n had suspected that his wife was having an affair with her boss. Recently, he\u2019d noticed that she had been forlorn for no particular reason.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After many attempts of getting her to talk, he found out that she was saddened by her employer\u2019s imminent marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thinking that this was a telltale sign of her infidelity, To\u00e0n resented his spouse\u2019s employer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the instant he spotted his perceived rival\u2019s car on the street, he let his emotions take over.<\/span><\/p>\n

On 13th October, To\u00e0n went to the Jamona residential neighborhood in District 7 to get a cup of coffee. Since no cafeterias allowed dine-in on that day, he was about to return to his office.<\/span><\/p>\n

While en route, To\u00e0n spotted the car of his wife\u2019s employer parked on D4 Street. Instead of heading for his office as planned, To\u00e0n went to the nearest gas station to buy two litres of gasoline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He returned to the car, poured the gasoline over it, and set it on fire in the presence of many people, who immediately jumped in to extinguish the fire but to no avail.<\/span><\/p>\n

By the time local authorities arrived at the scene, the car had been burned to ashes. Worse, the fire had spread to another car and burned major parts of it.\u00a0<\/span>Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident. The total damage amounted to <\/span>VND2 billion (~USD87,871.53)<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t let jealousy ruin your life<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

As a famous saying goes, \u201cLove is as strong as death, and jealousy as cruel as the grave.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This can\u2019t be any truer for To\u00e0n, who dug his own grave by destroying another person\u2019s assets just because he couldn\u2019t handle his own jealous thoughts. He didn\u2019t know for sure whether his wife and her boss really had an affair or it was his wife alone who caught feelings. Either way, he could have chosen a wiser way to overcome his frustrations rather than having a run-in with the law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Infidelity is intolerable in a marriage, but neither is jealousy, or paranoia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
