Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac is elected Vietnam\u2019s new president<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Today, the National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam has officially elected the country’s incumbent Prime Minister Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac as the <\/span>13th president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.<\/b><\/p>\n

President Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac is preceded by Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Ph\u00fa Tr\u1ecdng, who’s currently the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Mr. Ph\u1ea1m Minh Ch\u00ednh has just been elected as the new Prime Minister of Vietnam.<\/p>\n

\nOn 2nd April 2021, the National Assembly in Hanoi approved a resolution to relieve Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac from his post as Vietnam’s prime minister. The resolution has become effective with the election of the new Prime Minister Ph\u1ea1m Minh Ch\u00ednh.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the same day, former President Nguy\u1ec5n Ph\u00fa Tr\u1ecdng also left his position after another resolution was passed by the National Assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his swearing-in ceremony on April 5th, President Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac vowed his allegiance to the nation, the people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

President Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac was born on 20th July in 1954 into a military family in Qu\u1ea3ng Nam Province.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Between 1966 and 1968, he joined the People’s Army of Vietnam before being transferred to Hanoi for advanced training and education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1982, he officially became a member of the Vietnamese Communist Party.\u00a0<\/span>During the tenure of former Prime Minister Nguy\u1ec5n T\u1ea5n D\u0169ng from 2011 to 2016, he assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From 2016 until 5th April 2021, he served as Prime Minister of Vietnam, during which he has been credited with improving Vietnam\u2019s diplomatic relations with neighboring countries and strengthening the country\u2019s role on the regional stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Xu\u00e2n Ph\u00fac became the 13th Vietnamese president today, after a peaceful transfer of power from former President Nguy\u1ec5n Ph\u00fa Tr\u1ecdng.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
