H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean – a haunted water park overrun with plants<\/h2>\n

H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean<\/strong> is an abandoned water park atop the Thi\u00ean An Hill, which is about 10km away from Hu\u1ebf. This park has long since been a favorite place among young people, thanks to its wild, abandoned looks.<\/p>\n

However, this current look won\u2019t stay for long, as the park\u2019s reopening is planned for March 2023 – with a brand new appearance after more than a decade of being left to nature.<\/p>\n

Recently, city officials have decided to clean up the park and repair many of the abandoned buildings and infrastructure here, promising to restore the H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean to its former glory by March 2023.<\/p>\n

Not just a great place for photos, the park\u2019s haunted appearance has made its way into many music videos by local and international artists. Some famous examples are \u201cBad Memories<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Meduza, \u201cWarpaint<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Niki, and \u201cWe Must Love<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Korean band ONF.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, one of the park\u2019s buildings with a giant dragon statue in the middle of a lake has been used as a visual highlight in these MVs, going so far as attracting the attention of foreign newspapers such as US site\u00a0The Huffington Post<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and UK paper\u00a0Mail Online<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The park had been abandoned twice<\/h3>\n
\n

H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean was originally opened in 2004 and then promptly abandoned after half a year of operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2008, it was picked up again by a company called\u00a0Haco Hu\u1ebf which announced its plans for the restructuring and restoration of the park.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the project was then canceled for a second time, leaving the park in a desolate state, reclaimed by the surrounding nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ironically, this new,\u00a0gloomy\u00a0<\/span>appearance<\/span> actually attracted more people to the H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean, mainly because the post-apocalyptic aesthetic makes for some really great shots<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2017, H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean was reclaimed by the People\u2019s Committee of Hu\u1ebf and its management transferred over to the local Department of Natural Resources and Environment.<\/p>\n

Currently, the government is planning to clean up all the trash and plant litter there that has accumulated over the years, as well as repairing all the buildings and infrastructure in preparation for next year\u2019s reopening.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s great that H\u1ed3 Th\u1ee7y Ti\u00ean will be usable by the public after such a long time, some netizens also think it\u2019s unfortunate that its current haunted aesthetic, which has given the park its charm, will be removed for the park\u2019s reopening<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Still, we hope that the park becomes a popular spot again, giving life to a twice-abandoned location.\u00a0<\/span>After all, third time\u2019s the charm!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
