Starting from 2nd September this year<\/strong>, V\u0169ng T\u00e0u might draw even more visitors as a new ferry connecting Saigon and V\u0169ng T\u00e0u will go into operation.<\/p>\n

According to ATGT.vn<\/a>, the new ferry station will go into operation on 2nd September, Vietnam\u2019s National Day. The ferry will depart from T\u1eafc Su\u1ea5t station<\/strong> in C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd<\/a>, which is about 17KM and a 30-minute drive away from Saigon\u2019s city center<\/strong>, and reach V\u0169ng T\u00e0u ferry station<\/a> in about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

Saigon residents can ride their motorbikes straight to the ferry station in C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd, hop on for a 30- minute ride, and arrive in V\u0169ng T\u00e0u.<\/p>\n

Residents from the southern part of Saigon can first take the new ferry route from B\u00ecnh Kh\u00e1nh ferry station to T\u1eafc Su\u1ea5t station in C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd<\/a>, or the new ferry route from C\u1ea7n Giu\u1ed9c ferry station to T\u1eafc Su\u1ea5t station in C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd <\/a>before they proceed onto the 30-minute route to V\u0169ng T\u00e0u station.<\/p>\n

This connectivity means that ferry travellers will have more leisure destinations to choose from,<\/strong> such as Long An and Ti\u1ec1n Giang, which will also support more tourism service providers in those areas who have been suffering from pandemic-related losses in income. Beside the shortened commuting time,<\/strong> travellers will also enjoy the affordable ferry fare estimated to start at only VND50,000 (~USD2.15) per person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This fare type is considerably cheaper than a Saigon – V\u0169ng T\u00e0u bus ticket, which usually starts from VND85,000 to VND160,000 (~USD3.65-USD6.87)<\/strong> on average.<\/p>\n

The new ferry route from C\u1ea7n Gi\u1edd to V\u0169ng T\u00e0u is scheduled for 24 rides per day with an interval of 60 minutes each. <\/strong>Each ferry can carry over 350 passengers, 100 motorbikes, and 15 trucks or even cars.<\/p>\n
