Summer is here at last, and it\u2019s time to plan a summertime getaway <\/strong>after a month-long isolation period. We can hardly think of a better place to spend the summer than on a beach surrounded by the ocean and beautiful nature.<\/p>\n

Adding to this summertime pleasure is a cable car ride that allows you to view the oceans and majestic landscapes from the world\u2019s highest track rope. <\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not in China, not in the Maldives, nor any beach paradise that you have been to. The world\u2019s longest cable car line is right in H\u1ea3i Ph\u00f2ng,<\/strong> a harbour city in the north of Vietnam.<\/p>\n

C\u00e1t B\u00e0 archipelago<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 hour drive from H\u1ea3i Ph\u00f2ng city centre and located on the southern border of H\u1ea1 Long Bay, C\u00e1t B\u00e0 archipelago<\/strong> is home to one of Vietnam\u2019s largest sustainable nature reserves.<\/p>\n

The island\u2019s national park is also home to a large number of endangered plant and animal species such as the C\u00e1t B\u00e0 langur, one of the world\u2019s rarest primates. On the island\u2019s east side is Lan H\u1ea1 Bay<\/strong>, one of Vietnam\u2019s most notable tourist attractions known for its extraordinary limestone mountains.<\/p>\n

For decades, C\u00e1t B\u00e0 archipelago has remained an unskippable coastal tourist site for tourists and residents in the north of Vietnam. <\/strong>Apart from boat sailing, swimming, or sunbathing, travellers to C\u00e1t B\u00e0 can now embark on new exhilarating adventures with the arrival of the C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The entire C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car system will be 21.9KM<\/strong> long with 5 stations spanning the sea to link the towns of C\u00e1t H\u1ea3i and C\u00e1t B\u00e0 island<\/strong>, including C\u00e1t H\u1ea3i, Ph\u00f9 Long, C\u00e1t B\u00e0 national park, C\u00e1t \u0110\u1ed3n, and C\u00e1t B\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Upon completion, this cable car will have the longest cable line in the world<\/strong>. Its length triples that of Tianmen Mountain Cableway in China, <\/strong>the world\u2019s longest cable car line to date. The C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car system also boasts the world\u2019s highest track rope above mean sea level, <\/strong>which is 214.8M high<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Developed by Sun Group, the construction of the C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car line began in 2017 with the involvement of world\u2019s top engineers from Doppelmayr & Garaventa<\/strong>, which makes ropeways, cable cars, and ski lifts worldwide.<\/p>\n

The construction of the C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car system is divided into 3 phases and is showing visible progress. Its first phase, the C\u00e1t H\u1ea3i station – Ph\u00f9 Long station cableway<\/strong> was completed on 13th May and will go into operation on 30th May. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This first phase of the cable car line open to passengers is 3,955M long and contains 60 cabins. It\u2019s able to carry 4,500 passengers per hour. Travel time <\/strong>is only 8 minutes when you depart from C\u00e1t H\u1ea3i station.<\/p>\n

From the cable car, passengers will take in the breathtaking views of the ocean and its stunning surroundings, <\/strong>such as L\u1ea1ch Huy\u1ec7n Harbor, Vietnam\u2019s deepest natural harbor, the hypermodern Vinfast car factory, and the lush jungles on the islands.<\/p>\n

According to a\u00a0H\u1ea3i Ph\u00f2ng Facebook page<\/a>, the estimated travel fare will be VND150,000 (~USD6.43)<\/strong> for adults and VND100,000 (~USD4.28)<\/strong> for children.<\/p>\n

Before the C\u00e1t B\u00e0 cable car system, Vietnam has built other cableways in different cities that have become tourist attractions too.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

These cableways are in B\u00e0 N\u00e0 Hills Sun World<\/strong> in \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, Fansipan Legend <\/strong>in Sapa, Sun World H\u1ea1 Long <\/strong>in Qu\u1ea3ng Ninh, and H\u00f2n Th\u01a1m Nature Park<\/strong> in Ph\u00fa Qu\u1ed1c.<\/p>\n

Out of these, the H\u00f2n Th\u01a1m cable car line in Ph\u00fa Qu\u1ed1c is currently Vietnam\u2019s longest cable car system, spanning 7,899M across the sea.
