COVID-19 in Vietnam, update from 7<\/b>th<\/b> April 2020<\/b><\/h2>\n

The COVID-19 situation in Vietnam is steadily brightening up by the day. Since <\/span>our last update yesterday<\/span><\/a>, the country has recorded only <\/span>4 new COVID-19 cases, <\/b>just as many recoveries<\/b>, and no COVID-related deaths.<\/span><\/p>\n

This means as of 9AM, 7<\/span>th<\/span> April 2020, Vietnam has had a total of<\/span> 245 COVID-19 cases<\/b>, <\/span>95 of whom have made full recoveries<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, 2 patients who had been in critical condition are showing signs of recovering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the 4 new cases, one was associated with the COVID hotspot of B\u1ea1ch Mai Hospital in Hanoi, while the other 3 are Vietnamese nationals returning from Russia in late March on the same flight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case 242<\/b> is a 34-year-old woman from Ha T\u0129nh Province. She had been living in Russia before returning to Hanoi on 25<\/span>th<\/span> March.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case 243<\/b> is a 47-year-old man from M\u00ea Linh District, Hanoi. He took his wife to the B\u1ea1ch Mai Hospital for a health checkup on March 12. He had his samples taken for testing on 4<\/span>th<\/span> April despite showing no symptoms, and the results came back positive yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case 244<\/b> is a 44-year-old woman from the northern province of Qu\u1ea3ng Ninh who worked at a fast-food restaurant in Germany. She flew from Germany to Russia and later boarded the same flight as Case 242 to return to Vietnam on 25<\/span>th<\/span> March.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case 245<\/b> is a 21-year-old woman from the central province of Ngh\u1ec7 An who was a manicurist in Spain. She flew from Spain to Russia and later boarded the same flight as Cases 242 and 244 to return to Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

All 3 overseas arrivals were quarantined upon landing.<\/span><\/p>\n
