Vietnamese COVID-19 slogan challenge<\/h2>\n

As COVID-19 continues to spread across Vietnam, netizens have kicked off a slogan-writing movement<\/strong> on social media to encourage people to stay home, have faith, and not to share misinformation <\/strong>during COVID-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, they gave this movement a uniquely Vietnamese twist by making their slogans rhyme based on their first names.<\/p>\n

Their slogans say \u201cI am\u2026, and I will\u2026\u201d<\/h3>\n
\n

Netizens taking part in this challenge shared photos of themselves on Facebook holding a sign with their names and their personal slogans to stay strong against the pandemic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

All slogans were created based on the phrase \u201cI am\u2026, and I will\u2026\u201d which participants could fill in based on their names and what they wished to do during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Among them is Huyen, who posted a photo of her wearing a mask and holding a sign that says \u201cI am Huyen – I will proactively spread awareness about virus prevention protocols.\u201d (T\u00f4i l\u00e0 Huy\u1ec1n<\/strong> – T\u00f4i s\u1ebd t\u00edch c\u1ef1c tuy\u00ean truy\u1ec1n<\/strong> ph\u00f2ng b\u1ec7nh<\/em>). Her slogan ends with a footer that reads \u201cAgainst COVID\u201d.<\/p>\n

Those who understand Vietnamese will find this slogan witty, as the second part of the sentence rhymes with her first name with the syllable \u201cuy\u00ean<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

A male participant shared his slogan, \u201cI am Quan – I will abide by the Law.\u201d (T\u00f4i l\u00e0 <\/em>Qu\u00e2n<\/em><\/strong> – T\u00f4i s\u1ebd <\/em>tu\u00e2n <\/em><\/strong>h\u00e0nh ph\u00e1p lu\u1eadt)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Like other participants, the second part of his slogan also rhymes with the syllable \u201cu\u00e2n\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>in his first name.<\/p>\n

Then there is Tr\u00e2m<\/em>, whose slogan says that she will quietly stay put (T\u00f4i l\u00e0 Tr\u00e2m<\/strong> – T\u00f4i s\u1ebd \u00e2m th\u1ea7m<\/strong> NG\u1ed2I Y\u00caN M\u1ed8T CH\u1ed6). <\/em>She also deftly incorporates the syllable \u201c\u00e2m\u201d <\/em><\/strong>in her slogan.

These photos have been earning rave reviews from other netizens,<\/strong> who also hilariously took on the same slogan-writing challenge in the comment section.<\/p>\n

Facebook user Ny Ny commented on the photo of a participant named H\u01b0\u01a1ng: \u201cI am H\u01b0\u01a1ng, I\u2019m willing to work without pay.\u201d (T\u00f4i l\u00e0 H\u01b0\u01a1ng<\/strong>. T\u00f4i t\u00ecnh nguy\u1ec7n l\u00e0m kh\u00f4ng l\u01b0\u01a1ng<\/strong>).

\nMeanwhile, many other commenters praised the participants for their good looks even though their faces are half covered with face masks.<\/p>\n

Perhaps this \u201cI am\u2026\u201d slogan challenge is the Vietnamese answer to Western celebrities\u2019 and influencers\u2019 \u201cI stay home for\u2026\u201d<\/strong> slogan challenge that promotes social distancing by asking people to stay safely at home.<\/p>\n

Even though the Vietnamese government has not yet imposed drastic measures such compulsory social distancing in public spaces or strict curfews, it\u2019s everyone\u2019s duty to help spread the importance of social distancing and self-isolation, and keeping up with the Ministry of Health\u2019s updates. <\/strong><\/p>\n
