Update on COVID-19 in Vietnam, 23 March 2020<\/b><\/h2>\n

Since our last report on <\/span>Friday (20th Mar)<\/span><\/a>, as of 11AM this morning, Vietnam recorded a major spike of 31 new COVID-19 cases<\/strong>. Most are travelers returning from overseas, including Vietnamese passport holders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To prevent the spread of the disease, the Vietnamese government has temporarily suspended entry to the country for all foreigners and overseas Vietnamese citizens<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

31 <\/b>new patients in Vietnam were confirmed to be positive to the COVID-19 virus, 28 of whom were reported over the weekend and the other 3 were discovered this morning. This pushes the total number from 85<\/span> as of our last update<\/span><\/a> to 116.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

27 of the new cases are people returning from other countries, including:<\/span><\/p>\n
