X10 Resort has Nordic tents & Japanese-style pool villas

As many countries have eased the Covid-19 restrictions, we all desire to travel to other countries for recreation after having not been able to do that for ages. Even so, we find that it requires lots of money to fly across a country or a continent.

Thankfully, we chanced upon a resort that has Nordic influences in Khao Yai, without taking a long flight out of Asia.

X10 Resort is a getaway with Nordic tents and Italian-style pool villas that will give you a feel of being in Scandinavia and Italy without leaving Thailand.

X10 with pool villas in Khao Yai

X10 is a resort with exotic villas situated in Khao Yai. The resort is surrounded by luxuriant forests and mountains, inducing a personal summer camp feel that will help you disconnect from the urban spaces in the city.

The resort has their villas divided into three zones: Nordic, Italian, and Japanese. Thus, each zone will let you experience the atmosphere and roleplay staying in a house in that particular country.

The first zone we’ll share today is heavily inspired by Northern Europe, termed the ‘Nordic Zone’. The tents are designed with an earthy pastel palette, channeling a little bit of minimalism, and they are placed together in a terrace with private pools that come with partitions for privacy.

In addition, they also offer bigger Nordic villas in glass house designs that come with more room space and larger private pools, perfect for a family trip.

Beyond the Nordic zone, is an area of Italian-style villas, inspired by Tuscan architecture. The house is painted in tangerine orange mixed with pastels –  a possible #throwback to houses you’d see in the streets of Sicily, Italy. Before the house lies a large swimming pool that guests can dive into on hot days. If you are an enthusiast for Italian types of establishments, you might want to consider this villa.

Let’s have a look at the last zone before we move to see their rooms. For those who love Japonisme, this zone boasts spacious modern Japanese-style villas, accented with pine wood. Located among lush forests, the zone reminds us of peaceful countrysides in Japan.

Once you’re satisfied with their exterior, check out the next section to see what’s inside.

Villas with three different vibes

If any of the tents have piqued your interest, we’d recommend that you consider the aptly named, Exclusive Private – Nordic Tent Type A from ฿12,000 (~USD363)/night, a spacious villa for two people that comes with a pool that covers the whole deck. In the middle of the room lies a huge bed that you and your partner can bounce on, or Netflix and chill in.

Alternatively, if you turn your attention to the Italian zone, there’s a more upscale Modern Italian Private Pool Villa from ฿20,900 (~USD633)/night. But don’t feel too discouraged by the price just yet. FYI, the room houses up to 12 people, and consists of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and one living room. Besides very spacious accommodations, it also has a private swimming pool in front of the house. For party revellers – lookout for the rooftop to organise a BBQ party with friends amidst the 360° view of mountains in Khao Yai.
