Woman drives to senior’s market
Certain events can happen out of the blue without any indicating signs for us to be prepared and ready.
But, that doesn’t mean we cannot deal with such situations and eventually regain control. If you want to know how, the following case is a good example of how to handle such unexpected incidents.
Here’s the story of a woman who went shopping but wound up dealing with a strange granny getting into her back seat.

Woman encounters anonymous granny while waiting in her car
On 6th February 2022, a woman named Chanida Haochamnong shared videos of her encounter with an anonymous granny at the Senior’s market on Facebook.
The incident took place while she was waiting for her brother in the car, where she was startled by the sudden appearance of the 70 year-old granny.

The old stranger opened the car door without the woman’s permission and promptly got into the vehicle.

She sat calmly in the back seat and asked the woman to drop her off at an unknown destination.
Having no idea of how to help the old lady, the woman told the senior that her chauffer hasn’t come back yet and gently asked her to wait for the driver outside.

However, the granny refused to get out of the car. So, the woman then gave the stranger a mask to prevent both of them from potentially contracting Covid-19.

Luckily for the woman, one hawker who witnessed the ongoing situation came to her aid and ordered the old stranger to get out of the car.
The woman reportedly felt relieved when the obedient granny got out of the vehicle and finally left the scene.
Netizens speculate the granny may be ill
After the story was posted online, several netizens commented on the post sharing that the granny may have Alzheimer’s disease.

Translation: She may have thought that your car is a taxi or perhaps she mistakenly remembered wrong car.
One netizen commented that the granny might haven mistook the woman’s car for a cab.

Translation: She has been like this for long time. She’s often found at Loey-Chiang Khan road and Na Or market. Drivers there have to be aware of her. At night, she’s often spotted sitting at the sidewalk in the middle of the road. She used to run into my car.
Another netizen stated that this isn’t the first time that this granny got into a random vehicle.

One Facebook user suggested the woman call 1669 to help the granny find her family.

We really admire the woman for dealing with this unexpected situation without panicking, and the hawker for helping the driver neutralise the situation.
