Thai woman saves ~฿180K in 2021 


Living the “save more and spend less” lifestyle might be the simplest way to get rich.

While some people may find the saying is easier said than done, we believe that getting crazy wealthy isn’t too far out of reach if we save our money consistently, just like this woman did.

Here’s the story of a Thai woman in Ratchaburi who unboxed her savings container on New Year’s and found that she had gifted herself ~฿180,000 (~USD5,415) worth of savings.

Thai woman gifts herself ~฿180K (~USD5,415) worth of savings  on New Year’s


On 2nd January 2022, a Thai woman named Parinatra Soonklang, who was gifted ฿180,850 (~USD5,446) on New Year’s, became talk of the town among netizens on social media.

A series of pictures were posted on Facebook. One of which showed the woman unboxing her savings containers, which were mostly filled with plenty of ฿50 (~USD1.50) bills.

The woman and her family members helped each other to count up her savings, including ฿50 bills and ฿100 (~USD3) bills.

After all of the cash was counted, along with her most recent deposit of ฿450 (~USD14),the woman ran up a total of ฿180,850 (~USD5,446) in annual savings.


The money saver says she has done this for 3 years

Parinatra revealed to the press that she has been saving money for years, and the latest amount of cash had been accumulated from 1st January 2021 to 31st January 2021.

The savvy saver also said that she was inspired by a netizen who had saved his cash in a water container and had seen great results from using this strategy for 3 years in a row.

Parinatra also shared her simple trick: put away small amounts of cash everyday and try to overlook the fact that you’re saving money.
