The last thing we expect while visiting a beauty salon is a reason to go to a hospital afterwards, but accidents do happen.

Facebook user Davika Moonnin shared her beauty salon “horror” story of when she went to a hair salon in Ramkhamhaeng to dye her hair. But instead of a shiny new colour, Miss Moonnin was left with a badly burned scalp.

Steamer overheated

During the bleaching process, the hairdresser put a steamer over Miss Moonnin’s wrapped head before going out of sight to make a phone call.

Miss Moonnin then felt a sharp burning sensation on her upper neck and it only got worse from there. She began to scream, but the hairdresser still didn’t show up. So, she started to unwrap her head by herself.

According to the post, when the hairdresser returned, she said that the burn was “little” and it was “all right”. She even put some “treatment cream” and toothpaste on her wound.

Painful experience

After leaving the salon, Miss Moonnin headed for the nearest hospital to see a doctor who said her scalp might’ve come in contact with hot water.

A week later, the burn only got worse. So, the doctor decided to shave the back of Miss Moonnin’s head and scrap the wound in order for new skin to grow and heal over.

She said the pain was “severe” and made her afraid of nurses for a while.

After the incident at the salon, Miss Moonnin had been trying to get in touch with the hairdresser to settle the medical bill. However, the hairdresser only gave her back the colouring fee of ฿1,000.

Miss Moonnin then made an appointment with the hairdresser to settle the matter at a police station on 29th February 2020. However, she didn’t show up. Moreover, the hairdresser closed her salon and blocked Miss Moonnin from her contacts.

We wish Miss Davika a speedy recovery and hope that nobody will ever have to go through this terrible experience.
