The Cassette Music Bar Is An All-Pink Pop-Up Bar In Bangkok

The festive season from November 2019 to the beginning of 2020 is considered to be winter in Thailand. But though you can’t expect any snow in Bangkok, you can still enjoy chilly winds, especially along the Chao Phraya River.

Eateries along the riverside are the perfect choice to relax, and the newly opened The Cassette Music Bar pop-up is bringing beach vibes to Bangkok’s nightlife scene.

Ekkamai’s party animals may be familiar with The Cassette Music Bar, which is quite an iconic bar in the area.

After impressing partygoers for many years, the bar is now opening a pop-up next to the river as part of Grab Urban Night Fest. The festival will be transforming the residential area of Canapaya Riverfront into a beach bonanza for 3 months, from now till 14th February 2020.

The bar is a must check-out spot for all Instagram buffs. It’s decorated with straw huts and bamboo furniture – and the best part is that everything is completely drenched in pink!

The photo spots begin right at the front of the bar with its signature pink cassette tape logo. Inside, customers can enjoy a gorgeous view of the river and Bangkok’s skyscrapers while snapping shots of the pretty pink interior.

Dress to match the theme and catch the sunset for some moody photos for Instagram. At night, the bar will be covered in pink neon lights, adding another funky element to the space.

Signature drinks to try

The drinks sold will follow the beach bar concept, so you can look forward to colourful and delicious cocktails that will put you in a holiday mood.

A customer hit is the Passion Bliss Fizz (฿850) which comes with a fruity mix of strawberry, pink grapefruit, and passionfruit syrups. This ruby cocktail is topped with pink cotton candy that adds an extra sweetness to the drink. But don’t underestimate this cute drink – it does pack a punch, so drink carefully.

If everything around you is a little too pink, add some colour with this bright green cocktail – Have A Nice Day (฿490). This tropical drink is made from Midori, Malibu, vodka, pineapple, and lime.
